I'm here right now. Listening to this song feeling every word and the tears are gathering. She doesn't understand and I get it. Its killing me but I've become to good at falling short. I'd love to give her the moon. Yet I can't even give her the love she gives and has given me. I can't even feel it enough to believe her truly, yet I know she's true. And yes it would hurt me to see her with another. But at the same time if i knew she was being loved and treated the way she truly deserves and she was genuinely happy smiling then I'd be be more at peace seeing her with another then constantly confused with me. But ultimately I'll never be that man. I've failed her. I have hurt her with my distance and untrusting mindset. And now I'm hurting her by leaving her. But I truly believe in my heart that I'm doing the right thing for her. I'd be selfish to stay and take her love, a love that gets wasted on a loser like me when it could be returned and taken care of properly by a real man. I've never really like myself much. But I hate myself for letting her love me. For thinking I could love her enough. She's beautiful, smart, caring everything I used to dream about before I became a bitter twisted being who doesn't trust his own feelings let alone the words of others enough to let someone behind the walls inside. She got close. And she saved me from 3 years of being alone thinking love doesn't exist it isn't real. She showed me it is real and it does truly exist. I just don't feel like part of that world anymore. The more she told me she loved me the more I'd push her away. I don't deserve what she has. I never did. And I only hope one day she finds who she deserves and she realises what I'm doing now is the best thing I can do for her. I'd only bring her further down then I already have. I'll love her forever and I'll always have regrets. She was my unicorn. A princess deserves her prince. Im nothing more then a jester who tried to play the part and failed. After 2 years on and off mostly because of my own trust issues insecurities etc. I can't keep doing this to her and I'm too far from being fixed. I have to let her go and be free to find real true love. I feel guilty for ever taking her out that first night because its caused her more pain then joy even if she would say different because she believes in me for some strange reason. She has too much hope in me and i hate myself for not being able to match it. Shes to good for me. Her heart is to good for mine. I only let her down time and time again.
