I agree! I spend way too much time on the 4 row and the high boys but it’s fun to use the old stuff sometimes

Great video, it was interesting to see a RT with it's tracs off. It is nice to see a farm family that can do almost anything themselves, as it is a credit to the American Farmer. I remember as a kid learning to weld/oxygen-acetylene braze and cut/hydraulics/pneumatics and of course farming. Those lessons really gave me a jump start at Ohio University when I was there for my Industrial Technology degree. Keep up the great work, have a safe planting season and God Bless.

I love work you've done on the tractor. It looks great. It's so slim now with 18" tracks!

Yeah it does look really slim with 18" tracks, the 24" tracks made it look really beefy

I really like your 4 row planter! The new equipment is nice, but the simplicity of the older stuff is hard to beat. I would love to restore some of our old Krause one-way plows. Maybe one day. 🤷 The 8335rt looks amazing! All the work has really paid off! Congrats!

Hi Carson! The 8335 RT turned out beautiful, Nice job! And your 4 row planter fix went well too. Thanks for the video, it's always nice to see what's going on there. Hope you can get back to planting soon! Stay safe and healthy!

Getting took if 18s for an 8r are 25k. Around here good heavy 30” for 9r is 26k and 18” for 8r is 14-18k for new tracks.

are you looking at the 3500, 4500, or 6500? I was ball parking it a bit.
@bitcornfarmer6868
@bitcornfarmer6868 Жыл бұрын
@@6thGenFarmer I believe the were 55 & 6500. The continentals -13k a piece- were actually still the most, for 30s or 36s more than the highest of camso/ camos… firestones and global were the cheapest. Would have to look at our notes to be exact, but we just did track shopping for the big tractor and 2 8xxxs..

I know things are more your way like nitrogen because of shipping and location but wouldn’t think smaller things would be increased that much especially since I think there are way more track machines your way

That didn’t look like a small project. Any idea how long it took per side. The second side always goes a bit quicker. You should send the original owners of that tractor some pictures, they wouldn’t recognize it. Awesome job!

with the sanding and painting it was a couple day project, without it could've been done in an afternoon. thanks for the comment!

The original owners would probably be pissed they sold it. I sold an old chev nova that didn't have any rust, just faded and a six cylinder. The guy that bought turned it into a beautiful car with a v8 - I was not happy with myself. I knew what it could become, i just didn't do it.

Tracks....gross. I'll keep my 8r 410's with front & rear duals. Too much road driving for tracks & tracks are ugly lol. Have an 8320r with 5900 hours on it since we bought it new. still runs like a champ

Carson, I know there's a reason for those tractors with tracks but to me it just looks weird with the nose of the tractor sticking out so far in front without and obvious support. Great video though.
