I've got a pair of Dealers in dark brown. They are the Solovair X YMC colab. They are excellent. I also have a pair of their 6 derbys, another collab with Aubin and Wills in their pull up leather, very similar to the crazy horse. They have a lovely patina to them.

I thought that Solovair's cementing process makes it effectively impossible to resole even though they use a Goodyear welt.

Just up the road from Solovair is Loake, their boot's are better quality, Solovair are prone to soles splitting, most cobblers stay coear. Loake are Goodyear welted and can have soles and heels replaced by any component cobbler, if in the area both have factory shops for a bargain

Great video! I have a pair of Dr Martens 2976 Chelsea boots made in Asia, size EU 42, do you think the Solovair fit is the same?

I have had 4 pairs of these over the past 10 years... the sole always splits width ways... Solovair no longer do sole repairs... slightly better than Docs but still not good enough

I have heard these are very narrow. I have wide feet, so this would be a mo for me.

Yeah I can see that, they’re definitely a little snug in comparison to some other boots

The only issue I have with Solovair is the sizing, I have already sent back two pairs because of this problem. Were you able to get your size right on the first try? Awesome video btw:)

Thanks! I was able to get my size, I went with my usual boot size, half down from my sneakers.

@binary i'm not against chelsea boots in general, my comment is referred to this kind of chunky rubber soles plastic looking lame ass boots. A chelsea in real top quality leather and a more slim appearance is much more elegant and premium looking.
