It's pretty awesome to see the early days of totally custom onewheel borads. I'm really stoked. I'm 42 and I hard and yet I don't trust FMs tech when it comes to nose dives. Me and my best friend ride trails in oregon. There's some pretty narlly trails here. Im for a saving for VESC. I have made respect for you guys keep up the good work.

While I'm watching a great rider with a talented engineer, I'm adding pads to my MTEN4 EUC. And my Pint is watching the whole thing. FM is slowly killing itself. The FM TV commercial with top notch riders from the community, shows their need for conciliation, since they lack creativity and openness (to repairs).

So glad your pint gets to watch too! It's crazy how much innovation is possible with the one wheel.. Eventually the vesc tech will help the non fm boards be on par with some of the lower end EUCs in terms of features and performance. I hope FM catches up quick, if not they will outdate themselves into extinction.

Hi Sir, the problem w battery that only charge up to 80% is easy to diagnose.. The cause is maybe one cells block debalance. Imagine battery with most blocks at 4,0V and one block at 4,2V. This will be the 80% charge limiting element (4,0V is 80% SOC and 4,1V is around 90%). soo when doin charge, this committed block reach 4,2V and bms cut off! its time consuming for passive bms equilibrate entire battery at this level difference, so maybe you need to discharge that block up to 4,0V equal to others, than charge entire battery. this way all battery blocks will reach similar 4.2V & leads to 100% charged battery. This bad production battery maybe caused by unbalanced cells at built time or one block with higher internal resistance. Just saying ..

Thx for the breakdown! But isn't 80% SOC of 4.2V is 3.36V and 90% 3.78v? Either way, Spencer knew exactly the issue and replaced the battery pack for me 😊
