Outside Hong Kong, you should go to Shenzhen and Guangzhou for dim sum, because that's the origin of dim sum and they still have some of the best dim sum restaurants.

When I started your video, I was about to suggest Western Lake, what a pleasant surprise to see it was in your video! I was born in Hong Kong and I really like this place. You can tell how good this place is from the line up every lunch time. If you look out the window from here, you can see my office. :x Also, my uncle owned Sun Sui Wah for all of my childhood, a cornerstone for dim sum and roasted squab, which I would highly recommend for you to check out!

I also would have no problem eating dim sum everyday and living in Richmond I probably could if I had the budget to do that lol. If you are doing a part 2, I have some recommendations

My friend told me Dim sum in Cantonese means “expensive”. I’m surprised you eat the beef tendon and tripe, too.

No way. You may Google what dim sum means, comfort food which can warm your heart.

dim sum means "touch your heart". Dim = point / touch, sum = heart. I am Hongkonger by the way.

Wow. Those prices are ridiculous. Disappointing.

You are wrong, Guangzhou is the hottest place for dim sum in the world, hong kong can't match the quality and popularity of guangzhou. Vancouver is third. I don't think you've been to Guangzhou. The lineups for a table can be up to 3 hours long. The quality of dim sum in guangzhou is much higher than Vancouver and Hong Kong now.

I wouldn't line up 3 hours for anything. You have to be a loser not to value your time. As for quality, that's subjective

@robocop581 lots of craziness for dim sum in guangzhou. Hong Kong people pack the trains on Friday nights up to guangzhou to have dim sum on Saturday mornings. I only had dim sum there Monday to Wednesday as places aren't as packed, 5 minute wait time. I went to a popular place on a Saturday, got to the front desk, it was a shit show, everyone speaking cantonese. Reception says wait time for one even if I share table is 2 hours. I couldn't run fast enough. The waiting area had over 100 people seated like a concert hall.
