Hi Chelsey you did a great job in 😊your videos and the enthusiasm of your dad was on spot. I am actually a Vancouverite that now lives in San Francisco Bay Area and😮I do visit every year but due to Covid my last trip was Sept 2019… that was just before Covid hit… while I recognize New Town Bakery and Phnom Penh in Chinatown as 2 really good places to eat I was hoping you would have showed the names and locations of the other places like in Richmond that you didn’t enjoy as much because I know Vancouver has had a lot of new restaurants that have opened and that way other people who visit Vancouver can try for themselves to express their opinion and also when I go home I can avoid the ones you didn’t think was that good…. If in future you do a vlog again please give name of restaurant and address that way others can try or avoid them. But thank you very much for your visit to Vancouver during the Christmas holidays I hope you enjoyed the majority of your trip….

Hi! Thank you so much for leaving this comment! ☺️ I actually go to school in the Bay Area but am originally from socal! Anyways, this is one of the very first times I have ever made KZbin videos so your feedback was very helpful and I will take what you said into account when I make my next vlog. I realized I didn’t get clips of the restaurant names, so I tried to leave a caption with the name of each restaurant for each place we went to. If this helps, here is a list of all the places we went to: Shanghai River Restaurant (7831 Westminster Highway, Richmond, BC V6X 4J4, Canada) - where we had soup dumplings and chinese ribs Tai-er Suan Cai & Fish (101-4940 Number 3 Road, Richmond, BC V6X 3A5, Canada) - where we had the chinese sour vegetables with fish Uno Beef Noodle (135-2811 Number 3 Road, Richmond, BC V6X 2B2, Canada) - beef noodle soup Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant (4989 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC V5P 3T7, Canada) - big dim sum Tokyo in April (526 Abbott St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2L1, Canada) - rilakkuma omurice Phnom Penh (244 E Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6A 1Z7, Canada) - vietnamese and cambodian food Newtown Bakery (148 Pender St E, Vancouver, BC V6A 1T3, Canada) - chinese bakery Cafe Monet (568 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2B7, Canada) - i believe this is a korean bakery

@@chelseyland123 Hi Chelsey thank you for the additional restaurant information I will certainly not go to the ones that were not special because after all we are paying for our dishes we should love what we consume…and from my friends input they told me the prices charged have gone up quite a bit.. good thing US dollars are higher than Canadian dollars so you actually paid less for your meals which is a big plus… it’s approximate,y 75 cents to 1.00 US dollar I want people to watch your videos and heed your advice of your taste testing… some restaurants are known for specific dishes and as a visitor you may not know

Sorry I didn’t finish my last reply ….. you might choose your favorite dishes but maybe ask what is their popular dishes then you get to eat some yummy food.. I hope you make more videos you do a good job… welcome to San Francisco Bay Area enjoy your studies … you may want to do a video of great places to eat in your home town as I would be curious to try when I visit LA area… again thank you so much good luck in your education.!

@mayyee5533 Of course!! It is true! Pricing is slightly cheaper when you pay with US dollars, but unfortunately, some smaller restaurants and food stalls may only take cash. 😢 We have to take that into account as well. My mom and I did some research on the places we went to and ordered some of the more popular dishes at the restaurants. However, we still weren’t blown away by many of the dishes. I would love to make a video back in my hometown! The reason why I started making these videos was to capture the moments I have with my parents. I want to be able to look back and see all the fun and good food we had together hehe. Ever since I left for college a couple years ago, I have cherished these moments even more. We will be going on a trip to Japan and Bali in the summer and I plan to vlog it as well!! I will be sure to keep your feedback in mind when that time comes too. Thanks again! ☺️

What was the name of the dim sum restaurant? I didn't see the restaurant name in the clip. So I know which one to avoid.
