It's unusual to find a clone that is more expensive to purchase than the original it's cloning, which seems to be the case with this one

I concur. I think this one is more complex and better performing than the original, but the high price is definitely due to the packaging. For what it's worth, I think Polo Green is overpriced too

It's actually cheaper than the original cologne. This goof ball thinks it's polo it's actually a clone of creed royal oud.

I love your reviews, they seem very honest. The reviews on this particular fragrance are all over the place. The Royal Oud comparison especially as many others have mentioned the closest comparison is Polo Green. However, one of the biggest Polo Green fanatics, Scents of South Jersey, hated it so I am still very confused. Considering that most of the budget seems to be in the packaging I think I will pass. Great review though!

Well thank you! Yeah, I'm not sure what to say here other than maybe this other reviewer really likes the original and doesn't appreciate companies trying to emulate it... I don't know - I am not even familiar with the reviewer you mentioned. I will say though that the scents are very similar, and I don't know why any reviewer would feel the need to lie about something so trivial

I like polo green its a classic but I never liked the longevity so this is on my radar now.

This one bothered me so friggin much because so many channels repeatedly said it was a clone of Royal oud which is nonsense. Of course it's Polo Green. Congrats on 3k by the way. Well deserved. Also I have a question about Putain des Palaces Etat Libre d'Orange because you know way more about niche than I do. I remember you mentioned it before, what I can't remember is if you feel it's okay for a guy to wear given that its marketed to women. I think it's time I dipped my toe in Etat Libre and this one gets talked about but I'd love to know your feelings on it. Anyway, Congrats again on 3k. If I want a thorough review on a fragrance I come here because as far as I'm concerned nobody reviews better. Peace out.

I can see how someone could draw similarities to Royal Oud off the top and without giving it any more thought. I also find it hard to deny the stark similarities between Highness and Polo Original. But, subjectivity. I for example could never detect the tobacco in Polo Original, while lots of people ostensibly do. To me it is a piney, aromatic and herbal scent through and through. Ahh, thanks so much for the compliment, man. It means a lot coming from a seriously knowledgeable guy like yourself. Regarding Putain des Palaces [I hear the Quebecois accent in your videos sometimes - cool that as Canadians we both are aware of what this phrase means. I would bet that most youtube personalities have no idea haha]. I don't think it's challenging to be honest. It's powdery with violet and suede. I think it's directly down the line unisex - the wearer's outfit and demeanour determining to which direction it sways. I don't like it, but then again I am not a fan of Dior Homme Intense, etc. I feel like lovers of scents analogous to this one would love Putain des Palaces (even though they aren't the same in terms of scent profile, just similar in terms of general vibe).
