You guys were less surprised than I expected hearing the song of Oingo & Boingo Brothers.

love them connecting it to the original teen titans opening theme, they share similar chord progressions

there's this long running injoke among jojo fans that the entire manga is the author's attempt at making everyone check out his awesome playlist

Lol I can see why because there’s no way these songs have to be so good😂

People think JoJo's is a wacky slapstick show but it's actually a hella serious epic sprinkled with humor. Do yourselves a favor and start episode 1 instead of watching the meme videos on the tube because they'll spoil the _whoooole_ story for you.

It's in order oldest JoJo to youngest. 1880s-2011 And yes they are "actual" songs (minus the Oingo Boingo ones) Each one was a song the creator listened too while working on each part.

Except the "Oingo-Boingo" ones the rest were songs made by actual recording artists that the author listened to or were inspired by while writing the story for each respecting part

Aw dude that's a crazy shame, there were two more outtros, and one of them brings back the Roundabout!

You say that but these are real songs by real bands

I commented under the openings but yeah, the author of this series is obsessed with western music, to the point that they licensed hits from the eras that each part was written in to be the EDs. The series is pretty much a way for Araki to share his playlist with other people, using the story.

someone should correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure the year the ending themes (as original songs) were at their peak has to do with when each of the parts happen Chronologically by years. for part 1 and 2 I'm not sure how roundabout fits in, but for the rest let me tell you: Part 3 happens in 1988, Walk Like an Egyptian being the highest selling record in 1987 and Last Train Home having it's largest sell in 1988. The Oingo Boingo and Hol Horse Boingo songs are more of an epilepsy trip that tells you about the characters in the few episodes they appear in together...It is truly weirdly good Part 4 happens in 1999, I Want You by Savage Garden was released in 1997 but reached its highest selling point in 1999. Part 5 happens in 2001, Freak'n You seems to have been released in 1995 but reached its peak in 2000 or earlier possibly. Modern Crusaders (the 2nd ED) by Enigma was released in 2000. Part 6 happens in 2011, Distant Dreamer by Duffy was released in 2008 and seems to have reached its peak in 2010 or 2011. This is all from a light research I did, but as of now all of those songs have hit the charts due to jojo fans listening to them again.

The endings are songs araki was listening to during writing each part or least those similar

@@yasseralmudhareb667 correction to myself it's songs Araki was himself sent in on a playlist to animators. The songs are usually from artists he was listening to during the part or just he feels fit

@@tayepeter3354 I see, thanks for the correction. Although I gotta say, from my knowledge I heard Araki's general taste in music is weird, but somehow everything worked out pretty well with jojos.

@@yasseralmudhareb667 Araki's taste in music is basically everything but Japanese. There are a very select few Japanese musicians he listens to.
