Nice tutorial Rich. After playing with it I thought the eraser brush could be used to add color to the black.

I always ad o bit of gaussian blur as well to the original photo. I makes it a bit more softer. Thnx for the tip i use threshold a lot for my graphic art

Can it be done with Mask as well?
@DigitallyFearless3 жыл бұрын
In my opinion that would be more difficult. When I dodge it is lightening the area just enough so that the darker parts don't disappear. Masking would mean I would have to paint exactly on each stripe of the plaid shirt instead of a wider area where only the darker stripes appear. Also, in next week video I will show an added feature of doing it this way.

Isn’t an image or jpg file already rasterized as it is a pixel file already? Or what type of image is this? I’m a little confused. 🤔
@DigitallyFearless Жыл бұрын
Affinity brings in a jpg as an image. It's similar to turning it into a smart object in Photoshop. I'd you reduce the size and then later increase it back to it's original size it won't become pixelated. Once you rasterize it then anything you do to it is destructive.

@@DigitallyFearless Thank you for your response. I was wondering how this works. 👍
