13:00 Had no idea you could use lava to ignite a torch. That's dope as heck. Had a fairly hectic weekend, but I finally set some time aside to watch this. Weirdly enough, I've never been super familiar with Better With Wolves - the name's always rung a bell and I've always had a faint understanding of it as "Minecraft with protracted survivalist systems", but not much else - so it's fun to finally see what actually goes into a playthrough Gotta say my favorite part was the dive-bombing spiders that were outside your front door every other freaking day. (Speaking of that front door, I've always had a soft spot for making cave-houses, so it's neat to see your base of opportunities gradually inching its way towards aesthetic coherency. :P) Looking forward to the next installment! Fingers crossed I won't have to wait so long after it uploads to actually watch it.

GODS the way you explore caves makes me so anxious !! i've been really liking the strategy of blocking off areas and adding fence gates to them to sort of quarantine the danger. that's what i've been doing i've been getting a good amount of iron!! hopefully i can work my way towards redstone soon i still have jack shit for storage. at this point, it seems likely that i'm going to be making my own chests with a sawmill before anything else. alas! having an iron pick in this mod is soooo good...

Love the playthru, love the vibes, only complaint I have for this episode is I feel like you’re wasting too much coal while exploring caves, especially when you even have dynamic lights installed. When I go caving I pretty much only use 3 torches for navigating around, breaking the furthest one from the direction I was facing and just keep on placing them. Otherwise this is such a good series to binge watch 🔥

The more I think about it the more I realize that Better Than Wolves is basically the Minecraft Equivalent of Hideous Destructor for Doom. Also I wonder if there's a Skyblock made for this map.

I doubt skyblock would be possible because passive mobs don't respawn and other food sources are largely unavailable either, meaning you're gonna die of hunger pretty quickly

I think I explained it in another comment, but I try to avoid relying on prefab structures since it takes away the joy of building up my own living space. Not that I have any problems with people doing that, just a personal preference thing.

I could've, but I try not to rely in prefab structures when playing. Theres also a pretty big hole in the temple due to world generation. Dunno mane, mainly just a preference thing

Why don't you need string to make armor? Like, all armor recipes have a free space so there is no reason not to have it as a requirement.
