What I love most about these breakdowns is that it's not just first-time listeners who miss things. A lot of people have heard these songs maybe a hundred times and not noticed the really deep elements. There's so much buried in the mix for most A7X songs. A lot of people don't notice the piano and low vocals in Nightmare, the really high harmonies and growls in Beast and the Harlot, or the electric mandolin in Paradigm, but these videos show what makes these songs sound as unique as they do. Those little layers seem to make the major difference for a lot of people. They wonder what makes a song great and can't quite put their finger on it, and hearing the band go through the hidden features is fascinating. One thing they didn't mention in this video that they mentioned in other videos are the template songs. November Rain by Guns N' Roses and Dream On by Aerosmith. You can hear a little bit of both in the song as well as Mars - Bringer of War. This song was played in the encore of the last show I went to. It's breathtaking.

The breakdown of Beast and the Harlot is pretty fascinating, but it's two separate videos because they had so much to say about it. They're all worth checking out, but that one is incredible. Matt seemed super happy during the Paradigm one. I think the Save Me one is pretty long.

Avenged Sevenfold, gives a lot to their fans. It’s one reason we are so devoted to them. They made a “Making of... video for I think almost every album. So you get to know each one of them, & how each song came about. Then, they put out these breakdown videos, so you learn how each song was put together. Then, the, how to play guitar classes, by Synyster & his dad, ‘Papa Gates’. Or you can, Have drinks with Johnny Christ.... Not many bands share so much of themselves & their music, with their fans , like these guys do. Their music was in Transformers, tons of video games, they are characters in video games, & they have their own video games. Matt & Synyster have been featured in several other bands songs together & separately, like, The River w/ Good Charlotte. Reactions to any of these things would be Great!!! Lots of people would watch & you would get to Love them as much as we do. Love watching your reactions, to these guys. Thank you.

So much that goes in to just one song . it's unreal how they all have the time to make music and also have their family responsibilities they have to deal with seems like I haven't got any time in the day it goes by so fast . That is what makes them all so dang talented they can deal with it all ..

You should honestly check out some other breakdowns, they have a bunch and it's awesome to see how they created the track and recording it and everything... especially The Stage, Matt is amazing in the studio

They have done breakdown videos for many of their songs. I think those videos are awesome because you learn about the storyline behind the songs, what where they thinking and how did they make them. After watching the breakdown series i appreciated their work and talent much more. All videos are good. I suggest the breakdown of a "little piece of heaven" just because it's a bizzare song and it will answer questions like "what where they thinking writing a song like that? Etc etc "

Around 11:50 you were talking about "angry blues". They're referencing the outro-solo to the song Fermi Paradox, where Brian supposedly goes to "the dark place".

I haven't heard that one yet. Thank you for clarifying.

Not what I expected at all. But not disappointed either. Always knew a lot went into finalizing music prior to release, but I had no idea it was like this. I went to a studio in '83, and was blown away by 100's of knobs, dials, and switches. And now, just a computer Thing change faster than we can ever keep up with. Sometimes for the better.
