I've had the PX-560 since it was launched and love it. Owned almost every other synth, stage piano, workstation and home keyboard made over the past 25 years, but this has the best action and overall 'feel' of anything I've ever played. Don't let the affordable price fool you. CASIO make fantastic instruments and are rightfully being acknowledged and played by some very prolific musicians.

Well, I'm taking the plunge and buying one tomorrow. I have been in music for a very long time, and this will be my first Casio. I have played Roland, Yamaha, Korg, and currently own a Kurzweil. I have been very impressed with the improvements Casio is doing these days. I'd love to see this in Black, with a metal cabinet, but thats just me. I look forward to getting the board and I will post some stuff on KZbin in the months ahead. 256 polyphony just still blows my mind!!!

Just use mx61 or a mx49 as a sound palette. Yamaha has some of the most warmest orchestral sounds out there. I personally look for the best sounds from each key/module and combined them. Casio has really stepped up. I hope they'll step up the xw-p1. I like the potential, but needs some updating.

Hah.............finally a board I like better than Yamaha, Roland or Korg in this price range. It's loaded with great sounding pianos and hex layer synth sounds, has 256 note polyphony and a touch screen. My favorite color as well.

Good review, nice playing, great keyboard. Sometimes I see/hear it referred to as the PX560M, where, I've been told, the M stands for auto-accompaniment. So I'm wondering, don't all PX560s have auto-accompaniment? I've also seen it written PX560be. Do any of these additional letters in some of the descriptions actually refer to a PX560 with additional capabilities?

I've tried this piano a few days ago and the key action is excellent. The piano sound and feel is pretty good also. For it's price i doubt there is better digital piano. ( i currently own a Kawai Mp-4 )

Hi Better Music. At 2:10 you say you can zone the keyboard into 4 different sections. Do you mean you can split the keyboard into 4 sections with four different sounds or split the keyboard into 2 sections with layered sounds?

I think Casio came up with a winner here. For the price and for someone looking for a starter keyboard with 88 keys, you can't beat this. Combine that with a Yamaha mx 61; that's a start right there.

+Asante Carter just to use it as a sound palette. I personally love the motif xf sounds but hate that price tag. I really don't need the moxf6, just the sounds and the mx61 fits the bill. I'm open to any suggestions. I just love the Casio. I'm a bass player but like keyboards for writing.

+Asante Carter You'll have two starter keyboards when you could have combined the money and gotten something like the MOXF8 which has the Motif XF sound the Casio shill pretends to like oh so much and a lot better keyboard than the Casio. (and actually saved money).

+LemonSlice yeah that's another way of looking at it. I like the piano/electric piano sounds in the Casio, some of the synth sound a little weak to my liking. I love the Yamaha moxf8 as well. If Yamaha would of made a rack xf module I would be all over it, but I understand they're not. (They just came out with a new board called Yamaha montage 8. $2900-4000 price tag) I'll wait and see what Casio does next. Thanks for your advice.

Does it have long piano samples having long and natural decay of Piano sound just like an Acoustic Grand Piano?

The manufacturer doesn't actually release information regarding the sample size or length, suffice to say the sample sustains correctly and does not die out, nor can you hear any looping. It's not up there with super high end sample libraries but it's right up there with regards to the type of keyboard that it is. Hope this help - Rudi :-)

PX-560M? What does the "M" stand for? Also, are the individual instruments addressable by a number, or do you have to scroll thru pages to get to any particular instrument?

HI, full product code is PX560MBE, I think short for metallic blue. There is only one 560 available and this is it . You scroll through pages but of course you can set up you own performances patches for easy recall. it is very user friendly.

Nog bad, for the price... But ... I don't know about using this in a band... Output of the sounds in general. I play on the KORG SV1 and for me the best sound is the the Rhodes ... Has a strong output ... More real than the piano sounds (something wrong with those samples ) ... Maybe this one can do the job well... Sorry for my English 😊

Ever since, I really don't like the Casio's keyboards. Their sound engines seems too plastic.. they don't have a touch responsive as well. But this one is very great and I like it so much. I think they evolved a lot on their sound engine. I am not sure if this one has touch sensitive/responsive function?

of course a 1300 dollar board has touch sensitivity casio privia is probably the best sub 2000$ line of keyboards nowadays. even yamaha can't compete

+Thomas Hirschler HI, yes organs are pretty good. Because of the great effects on board you can fiddle as much as you like with distortion, gain settings etc, particularly good for rock organ. On top of that you could make up a great HEX organ patch using up to 6 elements and combine a bunch of organs to make one unique exactly to your liking :-)

I really wanted to buy Privia PX-5S but it never got released in my country (India) which is a bit disappointing. Now I'm looking forward to either buying PX-560, the new Roland Juno 'DS' or Yamaha MOXF. The concern is that, based on the demos online, PX-560 sounds a bit thin than PX-5S in my opinion. Is it true? I really want fat sounds. I already own a Roland VR-09 and need a master kind of controller. So what do you suggest: Privia PX-560 or Roland Juno DS or Yamaha MOXF?

Grand Piano and electric piano - Exceptional. The Hex synth sounds - actually pretty interesting but mostly not as comparison to other synths but because it is casio and the pad sounds do surprise - sort like a crossbreed of roland and yamaha. Or like they went through every Jarre album and copy the sounds. The brass were cheesy and very much like casio. The drums were simply awful - why they put it there?

Pitty about the blue colour......looks like a toy, if manufacturers are going to use a risky colour they should also offer a more conservative black option like the 360 model (which doesn't look like a toy)

When Yamaha make blue keyboard (EX, CS etc.), that`s OK. When CASIO make an instrument in blue color, it looks like a toy!!! Nonsense! CASIO instruments are very impresive, if you don`t belive, just listen this excellent demonstration. And, what about building quality? Well, among other keyboards and synths which i own (some of them are GEM, KAWAI, Roland, Alesis, KORG, Yamaha), I also own a couple of Casio`s. Some of them are old almost 30 years! They were built like a tanks. All works very well even now! CASIO deserve our attention. because they did a good job. I would also like to see a KAWAI comeback in synth area, and it would be very nice to see a reincarnation of General Music. GEM WK-4/6/8 were an amazing instruments at the time! Cheers!
