The version of Black they played in This show is in my opinion the BEST I saw. Mike played an amazing and emotive solo guitar. He made the guitar cry. OMG!!
@timmatthews16042 жыл бұрын
As great as this version is, there are so many out there. Mike truly transforms this song every single time it’s performed. Just off the top of my head I would suggest the solo from Camden 7-5-03, that’s up there as one of my all time great Black performances. But really just close your eyes and reach out, you can’t go wrong.

Tim couldn't agree more. I'm partial but QC was pretty awesome and the sound quality is great too. I've been a Pearl Jam fan from the beginning, and like many, thought it was all about Ed. THEN I saw them LIVE in 03,16 and 22 and realized all those nights losing myself listening to old bootlegs wasn't only because of Ed's badass voice, it's because EVERYONE on the stage keeps it tight and amazing, THEN McCREADY steps up and takes us on a lil journey. To where, who knows or cares, it's getting there and hanging a while with him and the crowd that's the FUN part! Yup my favorite man in the band now. So fackin insanely GREAT!!! ✌️🤍🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥

Awe come on man...that shit happens. Sounded to me like it was the end...but miss communication (via eye contact or other queue) led to an early release. No big and still sounded great. Matt is a monster on drums and does a lot of work for many people. Anyone who thinks Matt is "garbage" hasn't a clue what it takes to perform at this level. I'm sure they laughed about it afterwards. After all it wasn't a train wreck and was handled quite professionally IMO.

Had been a fan of Pearl Jam since "Ten" hit it big in 1992, when I was 13/14 years old (the perfect age to latch on to an album that's all loud guitars and singing about angst), but this show was my first crack at that live, and it was just about everything I could have asked for--missing "Elderly Woman" (played the night before in Sunrise) and "Release" (just not played)--but those are pretty minor gripes. This show was damn awesome. Thanks so for much for your hard work. Video looks great and splicing with the Official Bootleg makes it damn near flawless.

Thought that myself and have tons of bootlegs from way back when to support that. MrJim1972 - He should stop leaving it at home and bring it with him then. Love the guy, love the band, but Eddie has serious issues with his voice these days. Pains me to say it but it's clearly the case. Can't help but wonder if that's the reason for the delay in a new album dropping. He was very hard on his voice in the early years and it has taken its toll. While others were resting theirs he just kept pushing his through sheer emotion and willpower. All that being said, they're still my favourite band and have been now for the last 27 years, and I'd still rather listen to Eddie's voice more than any other singer even if it is only 50/60% of what once was.
@joshuafult845 жыл бұрын
@@gmon78 Lmfao your insane dude. Of course he doesn't sound the same and his voice is weaker but most rock vocalist by 40 sound horrible and can't even sing cleanly or sound bearable live. He sounds better at his age than I would assume
@gmon785 жыл бұрын
@@joshuafult84 You just essentially agreed with me, so how am I insane? Did I say anything that's overtly incorrect? He clearly has issues with his voice. You only have to watch some live shows from the last few years to see that. I'm not pleased saying that. I love the guy. I honestly think he should speak to a doctor and/or vocal coach. For the record, I'm not expecting him to sound like he did when he was in his 20's. That's not what I'm saying at all. He just needs some help with all the weird habits he's developed to try and hide the loss of power in his voice. Those weird added 'H' sounds (you-hoo instead of you, me-hee instead of me etc. He's doing it on every other word now. Sounds ridiculous) and added syllables in words, pulling away from the mic rather than attempting a note, his timing - coming in late then singing a bunch of words really close together to catch up etc etc. I could go on. If he could get a handle on things like that he could still sound really good. He's never going to sound like he did for the first few years again, but he could learn to better optimise what he has left.
