Abuse is never ok! Yes thank you for mentioning that Dr. Anita! This includes family as well! You shouldn’t be afraid to say no to family members. The only reason why that fear is there is because of control and manipulation which IS mental and emotional ABUSE. Please my fellow Christians let us not take these matters lightly. All that compulsive giving is contrary to the word of God. God does not want us to give out of compulsion but cheerfully as the word says! Do NOT let anyone manipulate the word of God or his principles against you! People tend to pick out verses to shame others without reading it in its context. The enemy think he slick but KNOW your word for yourself. And bind all condemnation that comes from the evil one!

It was hard for me to say no to certain family members. I remember I wanted to say no to a sibling and just the thought of them getting angry or even breaking away from me made me sick with anxiety. It made me sweat. I tried it on day. And they hassled me and the questioned me. And they were mad at me. But I felt so free. I had so a great day. Such a peaceful day. I was able to do what I wanted to do with my own time and not have to worry about coming to the aid of anyone and canceling my own plans. It was so freeing and peace. The sun was really shining that day.

Once again the better together family have given me a sense of hope, wisdom, and strength in knowing that we were not created to "Do Life Alone". As a DIY enthusiast regarding life and authentic community, I am grateful for Dr. Phillips as she encourages us to be okay with the way we tend to naturally show up. I see myself in many of the exceptions and there being various shades of Gray and degrees in which we operate depending on where we are coming from and moving to on this journey to inner healing. Self-acceptance and grace go a long way in the matters of the heart. Thank you for sprinkling your wisdom with a beautiful measure of both. Keep it coming BTTV family. May God bless you richly and give you peace. May He show up in ways that make you stand in awe at "The God who sees you" that you glimpse just how much He adores and treasures you, How He delights in you and rejoices over you with singing. You are the apple of His eye who has captured His heart for all eternity. May this soak into your soul today and always. He is joyful as He looks upon you. Just the way you are daughter of The King. In Jesus name, Amen

I am so glad that she brought up abuse. It is imperative that we listen to that. The enemy have been convincing people that they must stay in an abusive marriage because God hates divorce. God knows all things, and He don't want or intend for His children to be abused.
@AW-jx4td2 жыл бұрын
@@onmycameraroll is there a scripture verse to back up divorcing for abuse and being married to a lazy, unaffectionate, degrading man?
@ladennayoung2939 Жыл бұрын
@user-st4xw4pb2q I mean you can't try to use scripture to justify your actions. Perhaps you need to go to God in prayer and ask Him to teach you how to be patient with your husband. And to help you really turn your marriage loose over to Him. And to help you to understand what being a wife and a help meet really is and what that really means from God's point of view and perspective. It's not our place to condemn our spouse and to constantly point out what we consider to be their failures, mistakes, and shortcomings. We MUST learn to extend compassion,mercy, grace, ,and forgiveness towards ourself, spouse, and learn how to not hold resentment towards God for the poor choices that WE choose to make. I pray your strength in the LORD. And I pray that YOU choose to lean to the understanding and will

This was so encouraging. I noticed that the dynamic at work needed to change. I'm one that says "Yes" all the time. I was asked by a colleague if I would stay late on two days that she would be out of the office and I nervously said "No". I understand I don't have to explain but a part of me felt guilty. As you mentioned, I hope to grow to a place where I can offer a response in a loving and caring way that doesn't come off as aggressive or uncaring. I've realized I'm not there yet and still require growth in that area. This is a reminder that I'm on the right path. Thank you.

Dr. Anita Phillips broke this all the way downnnn. I really appreciated listening to this conversation. So often we overlook the actions of people paying attention to their words. Many times we don’t want to be labeled as not so nice if we stand up for ourselves. So many people are losing because we value false unity over our own self respect. Relationships can not stand on disrespect! Eventually they will be destined to break and fall. It’s all only a matter of time. I appreciate Dr. Anita really making this clear especially for abusers who unfortunately are also found in the church and Christian space. God wants to deliver abusers too but we must be careful to recognize that abuse is NOT an assignment from God. God never called us to be abused or terrorized. We must use discernment and be aware of the spiritual entities that manifest through these broken spirits. God bless you all and may the Lord continue to guide us into his all knowing truth! 🙏🏽

Remember to distance yourself mentally and emotionally as well, because it's beyond physical. Otherwise, you will be physically separated but how you react to her may still be the same like you never left.
