Yeah I build a few of these, the foil tester and cap drainer are the only ones I use day to day, did learn alot from his channel, but after a time I found I could only learn more by self study and building my own designd😅

Mr. Carlsons Lab has been a source of precision information for me, which I appreciate because it is structured in the right way and is very accessible. Greetings from Portugal. Macedo Pinto

Very nice iv built some of these, they work great, im interested in the box to connect a signal gen to a 300 ohm radio, can i ask where you got the plans for that one, i dont remember seeing it on Mr. Carlson's patreon.

I've asked that very same question on his website in the comment section and no one could answer. I have noticed that you can use one of those tv style baluns and they will definitely work at hf. When I put a 300 ohm resistor at the twin lead end, it will measure a true 75 ohm from 1 Mhz through the VHF region with a steady 1:5 swr. A lot of receivers aren't too fussy about the input impedance as long as the swr is under 100:1 or something really ridiculous, you will not notice much difference in the receiver.

if mr carlsonhe realy cares about folks interested in electronics, he should release these for free or get a normal job!.
