that's why he's losing because when he used to make money backing shorties those shorties were 6/4 the same shorties 20 years later are now 1/3, you can't make money backing short priced favs anymore, the maths has gotten better on their end

@@TomLeach-dd8cl Backing them or laying them you'll end up the same. At those prices SP are fairly accurate and it wouldn't make a difference. It doesn't matter what the price would've been 20 years ago because the market has adjusted fully. All you can do is get value which has been much harder with people not being able to get on earlier

You can only do alright if u look for value sometimes a 6/4 chance should be 1/2 in my book other times a 6/4 shot should be 3/1 you get value shorties if u look. Vauban n River Tiber were both 6/4 n I thought that was value n done a dble as both started shorter n that was at Royal Ascot where a lot of favs were beaten!

Johnny, I only back exchanges now , bookmaker prices are scandalous.... I'm 54 and I've only just cottoned on to the exchanges , love it , do you play mostly on the exchanges?

Yeah a 2/1 to lose in a 16 runner would be 4/11 to lay, say you bet £1000 and make £360 profit, what’s the next bet? One of them a week, is a wage

Definitely laying the short priced favs in these bumpers for jumpers on the all weather when the jumps is called off is easy money. Chasers being rid by jump jockeys over 2 miles. N Henderson would have good chasers priced at 1/1 n the would always lose. I layed a 2/9 shot of his last week newcomer for Cheverly Park it came about 7th!
