god, how she can move you. and i'm not her biggest fan, but since kenny werner and sondheim's arranger she has put down some of the best recordings of the last 20 years. god bless her and her pianist/ arranger and their choice of songs. streisand, midler, ellen greene, roslyn kind, lupone should learn from her. thanks for posting this wonderful memory.

I love the part about the photo of the parents in 1948! Mary Chapin is a MASTER song-weaver. Would love to hear Buckley do "Only a Dream". Betty turned me on to Joni Mitchell as well!
