I remember seeing Betty on ITAS. James Lipton asked her what she hoped God would say when she arrived at the pearly gates. She responded, "Come on in, Betty; here's Allen." Nearly brought tears to my eyes; absolutely adorable. :)

She's a real darling. Before coming here I watched them both on their WML appearance just after they'd married. They looked idyllically happy. She hasn't remarried since Allen's death in 1981 and I can understand why. He was the love of her life and she of his.

It's been 30 years since Allen Ludden passed away. He must be proud of her success since then (being on The Golden Girls, hosting Saturday Night Live, and so forth)

I never knew all this how special! She's an awesome lady and I'm sure she made a great step mom and comforted all of them after their tragic loss, I wonder if she still remains in contact with his children?

I just watched this after watching The Odd Couple episode "Password" on here. Mr. Randall, Mr. Klugman, and Mr. Luden will be missed. Betty's still rocking though. :)
