Furina's backstory is indeed a tragic one, especially since she had the mentality of a human that normally can't handle the kind of suffering she went through and let's not forget about focalor, whom never got to spend her time freely doing what she wanted, as she is trapped within a prophecy that is needed to be prevented to truly happen for the sake of Fontaine. Their characters are truly well written and so does the other archons. All of them suffered greatly in their own way and truth to be told, we don't have the full concept of how each of them sacrificed for their nation as there are we are not there to witness it and there are still stories that are yet to be uncovered. I sometimes hate when someone compares the suffering or the sacrifice one did to another and i think its better to just acknowledge them

Wait til the Knave discover that Furina spent 500 hears looking g or ANY clues on the prophecy and what can be done to stop iy and turn up nothing useful She would realize Furin a was the one working the hardest.

Kinda wanted to add this to the dialogue “That’s why when you all placed ‘Furina’ on trial instead the ‘Hydro Archon’ or ‘Focalors’, she panicked and became desperate knowing that once the truth is revealed everything will fail and be dissolved by the waters. All her efforts of 500 years gone to waste”

This is it! This is perfect your dialog is wonderful and consistent, things are revealed bit by bit to them and they have lore accurate if a bit cliche responses that just build up this wonderful almost cinematic reveal, I can't wait for part 2! Easily a 9/10, the only thing that held me personally back was the bit where you were reminding them in character about what they did, I feel like it would have been more moving if Lyney or Lynette had come to that conclusion on their own, but that's a personal thing, could just as easily be a 10/10

I legit cried when I found out furina's backstory, its really sad since she has had to act like an archon for 500 years with just a human mind. Like imagine this : Your a human who just randomly woke up infront of a mirror that doesnt mirror you, instead its a god that looks like you and you have to work for 500 (or more idk) years slowly going insane but having to still put on an act so the city that you care so much about doesnt die. i feel so bad for furina, my breaking point would be in 50 years and furina's breaking point was 500 (idk?) years and then you fail. So in the end all you can do is weep forever on your throne.
