Between Days - Short Film Analysis Stories unfold like elaborate tapestries in the dark light of cinema, weaving emotions, thoughts, and perspectives into a captivating narrative. A boy with a repetitive daily routine deals with the timeless problem of procrastination, a familiar dance between intention and inertia. His determination to start his short film project dissolves into a dance of avoidance; each passing time becomes an enticing call to postpone. Time slips away like sand through his fingertips in the veil of procrastination, leaving behind the haunting echo of unrealized potential. This short film will enlighten us and give us eagerness and motivation to start things now before it's too late. 0:10 shows that he was supposed to start his short film project on 18. Lack of interest and demotivation was visible in his face. It only worsened as weeks passed by. The film shows how the boy got sicker and worn-out. Instead of doing his due, he watches movies on his phone overnight and plays games. He even became lazy in studying as time went by. This specific scene conveys how procrastination and demotivation has gotten into him. The film has excellent cinematography. It keeps the actor in the center while still keeping the other important details in the frame. With the good angle and close-up shot, we can see the dull face of the actor but brings you different perspectives. The lighting and the exposure suits the theme so well, it compliments the actor’s face, the dullness, and the emotion that it portrays. Although there are no lines from the actor, the choice of an alarm and a clock sound suits the film so well. The ticking of clock sets thrill along with the sound of the alarm as it gets faster and louder at 0:47. It also has perfect timing as the boy also got worse by that time, conveying so much thrill for the viewers. No wonder this short film is award-winning. It leaves the viewers wondering and delivers a clear message. The title of the film fits its theme as it shows what the boy is doing between days. It symbolizes the effect of procrastination and demotivation to a person. Moreover, it represents most of the students nowadays-demotivated and would rather do something else than doing their assigned task. To conclude, the film finished with the line “Start now. Stop waiting around” which I find very impactful. It is meant for us to realize that, if not now, then when? We should start doing the things we ought and love to do, before we lose the chance. Start now, take the risk, and cease the moment. Trisha Kyte P. Akiatan kzbin.info/www/bejne/gofZf5qBht5kpKssi=2xczNvPoKxOe6-Jg

I can relate to this so so much. I have 26 and a half days to put together a film after procrastinating like there's no tomorrow. Shame this idea is already taken and so well executed. I find it so hard to make a short film on my own as most of my ideas are only really conceivable as features. Or unfeasible. Therefore I feel uninteresting.
@EphraimRyan Жыл бұрын
There's so much you can do with ideas you think are unoriginal or uninteresting at first! Combine them with other ideas you think of, find new ways of shooting it! I'm sure you'll be able to make a really good short film, good luck!

You don't need a high-grade camera to make decent short films, I made this one with a standard LUMIX G7 that I didn't even own at the time of making HAHAHA. I'm sure you'll be able to make great works, even without the best gear. Good luck!
