Agreed. Which is why we give Brown just ONE more year

Why doesn't anyone talk about the challenge of where we actually are in comparison to others with ability to pay players? I am not sure where we rank but my guess is that its bottom 25%. The "New World" has only made it much harder for us to compete; there are players on Blue Blood teams making more money than we can afford to pay our head coach (whomever that is). Surely WVU is used to doing more with less but with NIL that has exponentially increased in truth! Back to back 6-3 in Big12 in my opinion is huge accomplishment in this world. If Brown had Arch Manning and could afford a few other key pieces in the "Free Agency" market, do you think we could win more? I do! WVU fans need to temper their exceptions, except the reality of pay to play, and do everything we can to support doing more with less. I don't like it but this is the reality of college football now. To start over would only set us back even further and then with our budget, how do we catch up?

In what world is 6 years not a an extremely long leash in this era of College football?

Michigan is going after a high school.qb and will pay him 10 million. How you compete with that

That’s a problem as if WV didn’t have enough problems recruiting unfortunately

I dont think we have a chance at Texas Tech, it would shock me if we win. We have talent but we find a way to lose games. 6yrs, where are we going?

I feel.play calling in the 2nd half cost us 2 or 3 games

GG’s TO’s in those games was a huge part too. Resulting in a total of 24 pts total for the opposing in 2 of them 🤷♂️

What you said at the 20 minute mark probably is what will happen, unfortunately.

WVU will be just fine. Look at all the great players from the past. WVU will continue to move on.

I’ve been as critical of Brown as much as the next fan, especially this year, but I’m all for giving Brown ONE more year for the simple fact that it’s finally Nicco’s team. I know GG is a fan favorite and I agree he plays hard but let’s get real, he’s NOT a QB. We have to look at what Nicco has brought to the table when either called in early in games or starting….dude just wins and stats don’t mean everything. Idc if GG”runs wild” giving up more than 30 points on crucial games due to ugly turnovers can be and is a difference maker. IMO Nicco has much better command of this team than GG and it’s not even close…..ONE more year with Nicco at the helm then let the chips fall where they may

Unfortunatly if we keep NB next year it makes me feel down about the program. Hopeless?
@michaelmartin586911 сағат бұрын
I remember a time when WV had enough pride in their fb program that they fired a coach that won 9 games 3 yrs in a row because they thought they could do better.

To be fair it was in the completely dismantled Big East let’s be real here…

Next week in Lubbock would be a statement win for NB at this point. I personally dont see how we hold them under 40.

They fired Bill Stewart who won 9 games every years. Get rid of him we not going to win nothing with Neal Brown. You might as well bite the bullet because next year is a rebuilt year.
@davidfriedline752512 сағат бұрын
I thought they knocked the ball out of his hand , one play which I thought they recovered it ? We got one fumble recovery ! That second half accept for their first drive , which is why you defer the ball when you win the flip ! Scott play calls went right back to the last 3 games , didn't play CJ enough , he did get hurt in the first half but once again they let them back in the game for a minute ! SMH !

Neal Brown football is not exciting! We need a new era with an exciting brand of football! If they keep him, they may lose more money because the fan base is off the climb.

6-3 in a weak big 12 without Texas and Oklahoma does not impress me. It’s very obvious that the conference got much easier for middle of the Pac teams to compete with Texas and Oklahoma gone. That also impacts the recruiting of the big 12 some high-level players might not want to come because there isn’t schools like Texas and Oklahoma anymore. In my opinion, Neil Brown is just reaching for whatever he can at this point.

Still light years better than when the Big East got depleted 🤷♂️

It’s obvious the entire country has no respect for the big 12. 6-3 means nothing. Our conference champion might not even be ranked in the top 10 by the college football playoff committee.😂 quit reaching Neal

Only because 2 money backed conferences are eating up the rest of the league….some things never change
