Between the Layers: Panel Discussion - Additive Manufacturing Materials & Innovations for AeroDef

This kick-off event of the virtual panel discussion series “Between the Layers” featured a conversation with industry experts from across the value chain about materials and innovations in Additive Manufacturing (AM) for Aerospace & Defense (AeroDef) applications. They discussed current AM materials & processes being used in AeroDef, challenges such as the need for repeatability, traceability, inspect-ability, material property allowable data, and qualification/certification, specific needs for the AeroDef market, e.g. high performance, digital twin/digital thread, connectivity, and cybersecurity, and future directions for high-performance AM materials & processes.
