Hi there Teacher, I have a question for you related to this topic. On your webpage you have these example sentences : There is a new trade agreement between New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. The prize money was divided between Paul, Daniel, and Mike. (You can also use among in this case). You have to choose between the blue one, the green one, or the red one. Why can be use among in the second sentence and not in the others. I would be glad if you could clarify it please

I have a question : Isn't between can only be used for two subjects? If three subjects, we need to use among? Is this correct? I saw this before in a book.

Usually that is true, that not necessarily always. If you have a line of 5 people on one side, and another line of 5 people on the other side, and in the middle there is a big box of chocolate, then that box is between the two groups. If there are three groups (in a triangle form) then the box is in the middle of them... not among.
