Onix did the right thing to keep from hurting everyone. Tell Onix not to be hard on himself. The other driver 23:18 was not thinking as some do and messed up young man win. You talking about this hasn't been your year. I can relate to that that used to happen to us back when we're running dirt and asphalt back in the 80s and 90s. Thanks for the video.

Holy cow, Onyx has some amazing chops. Watching how hot he was diving into those corners yet maintaining absolute transition mastery into the straights out of them was like watching a master class. Zack, you done taught the boy well. To see this level of cool under pressure at his age is seriously impressive as heck to this old man. Be proud dad, you and the boy have quite a winning combo there. Cheers fromChicago, home to the former world famous Santa Fe Speedway where I watch crazy stock car racing until the day they tore it down to build million dollar mcmansions.

Very sad end to the day for him and feel badly for him. But ONYX be proud you did a very impressive performance out there I was very impressed with your driving. As someone who was part of the pit crew for 6 years for a couple friends, I know exactly how you guys feel. Onyx drove the hell outta that car and should be proud of that. Like you said Zach, racing can be a humbling sport. Best thing is to never get discouraged. There is always another race. He did what he had to do. His reaction time was excellent. Unfortunate he boogered up the car, but that’s far better than how that could’ve ended. Stay safe guys.

Wow... the progression that Onyx has shown from the first time in the mod is amazing... from the first time running at the back at the start of the year to leading and driving out of a shitty situation is awesome He should be proud of the way he handled himself on the track, being around racing for years he definitely read that perfectly... I too wonder how people make such poor decisions in a race car not thinking of their own safety let alone everyone elses... Onyx has a very bright racing career ahead of himself!!!

VERY commendable bit of driving by the young man. As stated in the video, if Onix had have driller the other driver it would have been so much worse. The other drivers crew member, the one who call him in, needs to shown that it was not the call to make. The driver, with limited vision, just did what the crew member said and probably thought it was safe to cross. As a Dad of a racer, I feel your pain.

What makes me upset no apology from the other driver. The proper thing to do is offer an apology. Been there done that and never got an apology. Not the best of driver there. Onyx, you made the right call. If you had not reacted the way you did, there for sure could have been serious injuries for the other driver. Cars can be fixed/replaced, people cant. You have a smart head on your shoulders, and obviously know when to wreck the car to avoid injuries, Keep it up and you will be doing better than your dad in no time. I cant wait to see both of you in the same race, a father son duel on dirt is some of the best racing there is.

Zach, I love watching your videos from here in Sydney, Australia. I've been following you guys for a while now and really enjoy watching you both but especially you, Onyx. you ran a superb race until that idiot put you out of it. I hope he gets penalised for it. I would have thought that a lapped car would have to give way to the lapping car but people do stupid things in the heat of the moment. You also answered one of my questions, Zach, I've been meaning to ask for a while and that is whether Onyx is racing agains others his age or against adults and I now know that is it against adults, which makes your performance, Onyx, even more remarkable. Also, the way you were able to make that split second decision to do what you did to avoid injuring the other guy was amazing. Keep up the great work, Onyx, you are certianly marvelous to watch on the track as well as back on the farm driving the big machinery. Keep up the great work, both of you. Remember that it isn"t whether you win or loose, it's how you play the game and, Onyx, you played it perfectly.
