She just knocks your socks off doesn't she? Bev Harrell has a really powerful voice that is really melodic. She is one of Australia's great female singers.

I first saw her perform in Vietnam, 1967; thanks Bev (and all the others who put themselves in a dangerous place to entertain the troops). She had that hairstyle then too.

A terrific singer;it's a pity that she never had more BIG hits as she had one of the best female voices in the Australian sixties music scene, equal or better than most of her overseas contemporaries;the same could be said for the fabulous Colleen Hewit

Just saw Bev at Go! Show Gold last night at the Palais, with lots of the wonderful artists who featured on that wonderful 60s show.... all in excellent voice. However, Bev... what can I say - singing better than ever and looking impossibly young... still tiny, more gorgeous than ever - and still leaving the audience wondering where that big voice comes from!!

Thanks for sharing this video, great live version, sounds better than the studio version and I reckon the sound quality is pretty good for a 1966 mono TV broadcast👍ps: It's beyond me why some people whine about the sound quality of a 1960s TV studio recording, obviously the technology was limited at that time 😉

As a self confessed Sixties pop music junkie, I vaguely remember this song but had completely forgotten about it until Brian Mathew played it yesterday on BBC radio 2's Sounds of The Sixties programme. Nice song. I love the "nodding cameraman" in this clip; he really must have thought long and hard about what he would do during the filming!
