I swear I always learn something unrelated but useful in videos like this - this time it’s the use of Alt-X to mirror

😁 Thats great to hear. I like to include things "around" the topic so Im glad they are helpful.

You are now my favorite Blender tutorial channel. You care to use the addons.

😁 Nice to hear. I think if it makes our work easier why wouldn't you want to use things like addons!

meshmachine is awesome. you can do this with vanilla tools but this is much more straight forward.

Totally agree. It makes it much easier and I think more visual.

i have a video suggestion for you as its something im looking into currently, seems im going a very long way about it haha, can you show how you create a model of a ship or pod smashed into the ground with its own crater and crumple effect on the model, id love to see your take on this and doesnt seem to be much material on how to achive this efficiantly, love all the work you do brother!!!

Hmm.... crumpled metal that looks realistic can be really hard to achieve quickly (at least from what I have found). There was a physics addon that can do things like that but it looked quite pricey and still complex to use. It's called RDB Lab but I don't know if it would fully achieve what you want.

Grant Abbitt has a series called "get good at blender" that's basically "here's a shape, model it, then look to see how I did it." It's good practice if you can't find interesting shapes yourself. I don't know if he covers bevel transitions, though. 🙂 Very cool way of doing the bevels. I wouldn't have thought of breaking it up and then bridging them afterwards.

Yeah Grants videos are always top quality 👌🏼

At this point are you able to see the real world in edge mode and bevels? 😂
@ArtisansofVaul10 ай бұрын
😅 Sometimes it feels that way. I do get told off for staring at random architecture or objects when I should be listening to my fiancé 🤣
