Beveling A Tooled Leather Wallet With Beginner Tools

Bn watching your videos and studying up on tooling. I’ve made several knife sheaths but I’m looking to up my leather work. My deluxe set should be here Wednesday, can’t wait to try it, should be a nice upgrade from my Amazon tools 😂

What is a good leather weight for a tooled wallet back?

That can vary but I think about a 5-6oz is good for total. You can go lighter if it is getting lined. The pre skived billfold material packs we put out are made out of about a 3oz but you glue the outer shell to the liner making it about 6oz total. I like to glue them first and then tool.
