Most of the lines spoken by Eddie were improvised or rewritten by him. The film's screenplay was fairly serious originally. Sylvester Stallone was originally attached to the film but left when they decided not to go as dark as he wanted. Stallone ended up using his version of the story as the basis for his film "Cobra".

The theme song is Axel F. (Axel Foley) and was written by Harold Faltermeyer for this movie, but also became popular on it's own merit. It served as the theme for the movie and became an international number one hit in 1985. Other songs included: The Heat Is On - Glenn Frey (opening scene) Neutron Dance - The Pointer Sisters (truck chase) New Attitude - Patti LaBelle (bar scene) Stir It Up - Patti LaBelle (pulling up to hotel) All of these were very popular during the period.

Damon Wayans specifically in this movie because Eddie wanted to give a young unknown black comic a helping hand. And it helped. Wayans got roles out of this and had a hit movie career for a short while. I also bumped into him at the Comedy Store once (1999) and smashed his chest with my elbow and then I made a joke in the audience that made him lose it laughing. EDIT - and just wait to see who the young comic he gives a scene to in the sequel is !

Because that’s only a handful of city blocks from the department, being as Beverly Hills Police Dept. area is tiny. First place I lived in Los Angeles was nice international hotel (Sofitel next to Beverly Center) in 1996 that was $148.50/night. I was there for 5 months. A local call to get on dialup was $1.19 each call (normal price back then was 10¢-20¢). Room service too. Luckily, the bill was not on me. $10.5k when I checked out and it took them several hours to print the bill.

I hate "tooting" my own horn, but the amount of time I invest in editing and fixing the sound is a bit crazy. It easily takes me 30-40+ hours to edit one video. Even if I'd only pay $20/h, that would be $700 per video ($2,800 per month). I don't know what we're going to to in the future, but for now, we just keep at it. Thanks for watching! (:

Haha, well, as far as I know, she likes Eddie Murphy and she certainly knew it was a comedy. But she did LAUGH much harder yesterday when we recorded our reaction to Mrs. Doubtfire. So, who knows? Thanks for watching, Harley.

Hi Doug, I had to look it up. I guess you're talking about the TV show, huh? -- FALLOUT: In a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits. -- Thanks for the suggestion, it's noted. You've just discovered one of AMERICA'S GREATEST COMEDIANS! Eddie M. started out on Saturday Night Live in sketch comedies & was doing Stand Up Comedy in Night Clubs! He's been in Movies ever since then! He's a Millionaire & A Comedy Genius!

This is one of the most lackluster reactions I've ever seen to this movie, you guys hardly cracked a smile.... Most reactors will laugh when something funny happens but you guys barely showed any emotion, thumbs down for me

Wow, you're a lonely voice out there, my friend, but that's okay, maybe try another one of our reactions, and then we'll see. We're getting so much love on our channel, it's only fair to get a thumbs down once in a while. Thanks for watching and give us another chance, Z. Tomas1! ((:

@@BossMovieReactionsThats ok, I think I'll pass watching any of your other reactions, I think I would have more fun watching paint dry, but good luck on getting more subs, I'm sure the 8k you have are getting lonely 😂

@@ztomas1 No worries, maybe you can't tell the difference between fake and authentic, but your response tells me much about who you are. You know, it takes the average KZbin channel 22 months to get 1,000 subscribers, we started in January and we're already at 8,000, so we're doing well even without you. But I honestly wish you the best and I hope you'll find a good fit for your personality. Take care! (:

The guy reactor seems very insecure. Not much fun to watch. Eddie Murphy murders this role and guy is sitting there looking like a cardboard cut out
