In her memoir, did Beverly Johnson say she was having an affair with Arthur Ashe while he was married or that they dated prior to his marriage? I recall her saying they had dated and that’s a huge difference from having an adulterous affair. (I didn’t read her memoir to know if their relationship continued throughout Arthur Ashe’s marriage but I do hope reports of an affair aren’t there in his marriage to Jeanne.) She’s a kind, lovely woman.

I am a black man of a certain age and I have respect for what Bill Cosby meant to my generation however , I don’t think she is lying about Cosby. Cosby’s ego was out of control because of the incredible success and influence he had in the 70s 80s and 90s. I do believe some of the women put themselves in a position to know what was going on with Cosby , or know what might happen with Cosby, but clearly Beverly Johnson was not one of those women. Just because a girl got high, as most people did back then, does not mean they wanted to have sex.

I get so tired of hearing about the native American and European mixture in African Americans. Why can we not just be handsome or beautiful just because we're black just because of our African heritage in DNA. Why? Iman who was Beverly Johnson's competition she is from the motherland (Africa) and she is stunningly beautiful strikingly beautiful and she's an African so there you have it we're not beautiful or handsome because of our mixture of DNA that's it Beverly Johnson did not have to have mixed heritage or mixed DNA to be beautiful.
