I agree. I live in Roseland/Morgan park and literally hear gun shots daily. Nobody is ever caught shooting out here. Why do we even have police? Everyday when I drive up Halsted to go to work and back I see 20+ cops. Wtf are they doing out here? They're NOT SOLVING MURDERS I KNOW THAT MUCH. Maybe if Brandon would let us vote on the sanctuary city and let us decide if we want 100k more illegal immigrants the police are babysitting all day/night our communities could get the help they need. I wish we can stop the hate and segregation that does very much exist here and all live together. When we first bought our home here there was ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE LIVING IN THIS AREA PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRE SOUTH SIDE. I'm seeing different races moving here now. I'm white. It's just weird to me that there's so many homes for sale hee for little to nothing and some of them are beautiful homes too but nobody wants to live here. Hopefully our babies can have a safe place to learn and grow. It isn't like this in Minnesota. Everyone is living together there. Yes there's things that happen but mostly it's a safe place to live. My husbands whole family lives here and that is our reason for living here. Maybe we can make a change someday. I'm so thankful people are waking up and seeing the way certain areas are really brushed under the rug and forgotten. It's really sad.
