I have used the Roto Brush for 25 years and I’ve had well over 75 machines. I started in 1997 with the first machine they ever built, it had the fiberglass body! We continued to upgrade all the way through to the XP and the XP air plus and then the BrushBeast, now we have the all new BrushBeast DR. I’ve ran between five and 10 trucks doing residential air duct cleaning using the Rotobrush successfully the entire time. We have always done a great job for our customers and the Rotobrush always does a great job! Now for me to comment on the production of this “clown show” I mean video! First things first, the brush this gentleman is using is way too big for that small pipe and we would never use that brush. We would use most likely a 6 inch brush which is much smaller and typically a cable extension at the end of the hose nozzle which is approximately 6 inches of cable that attaches from the hose nozzle to the brush and allows for turning sharp 90° corners. Second, looks like that machine hasn’t been serviced in a long time because it looks beat all the hell and I would imagine the filter bags inside I probably completely clogged, this will create you to have a loss in vacuum CFM suction. They do need to be maintained properly and my team always wipes down the machine, sanitizing all hoses and keeping all vacuum bags clean of debris before each job. There is a right way to use the machine if you know what you’re doing. Imagine vacuuming your house for a year without ever wiping down your vacuum cleaner or changing your filter bags. What kind of results do you think you get from the suction CFM power of the vacuum?? That’s what that machine looks like! Third, when you put the Rotobrush inside the main trunk line and it wasn’t spinning that’s because there is a torque adjustment that needs a little bit of maintenance every couple of months. You need to adjust the torque and it’s very simple to do it only takes a few seconds. I get it, you’re a negative air type of guy and that’s the type of machine that you choose to use. I’m not knocking the negative air I’m just saying it takes three people to do a single-family home with the Negative Air Machine and you can get the same results from one person using the clean & properly maintained Rotobrush.

I agree with you sir but do have one comment to make regarding Rotobrush, I have 7 years in the industry and in the midwest where I started, where trunk lines are almost always accessible for neg. Air /gas powered suction like The General it is superior because floor registers collect more large, tangible debris than ceiling registers. And as I said the trunk lines are always accessible. I have just discovered the Rotobrush since moving to the southwest here in Arizona, where many houses have little to no attic access to trunk lines, no crawl spaces, and virtually all flex ceiling registers or ceiling trunk chases that are easy to look inside. Here in this region of the country the rotobrush shines and as you said if maintained and used correctly it can do a fine job. I am currently using one. But if I was in the back in the midwest where I had 1) consistent access to trunk lines and 2) floor registers that collected "solid" debris that need a more powerful vac id use gas powered neg air and comp. Air. Just my two cents but thanks for your defense of Rotobrush its not nearly as bad as this guy makes it out to be.

@@masonholiman1603 i’ve been using the Rotobrush for 25 years here in South Florida and we also have access to main trunk lines through the attic‘s as well. I’m not knocking Negative Air Machine‘s by any means of the stretch and yes indeed they definitely work well and lots of applications. I’ve just use the Rotobrush for so many applications and it’s so versatile and so universally fit for Air Duct Cleaning that I had to step in here and defend it. The Rotobrush truly is a universal portable air duct cleaning machine that works very well and it’s a money maker.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! Will you be making a video like mine to prove me wrong? I always say put you’re money where your mouth is! I mean I have a 15 truck operation and if I could save the $150,000 on buying expensive air duct cleaning trucks and just use these cheap rotobrushes, I would! But they are turds. This is a realistic review and my opinions. You’re welcome to have your own opinions too. But my question is…. Have you ever used a $150,000 air duct cleaning truck. I’m sure your opinion would change if you had. I have a anther question. If you were offered a $150,000 Pringle truck or a $3,000 rotobrush. Both for free. Which one would you take??? 😆
@chuckw302 Жыл бұрын
A little over the top? He’s wayyy over the top. He deserves an Oscar for this exaggerated video. anyone reading this go and check out how much a new roto brush beast DR cost. It cost over $11.000 even the oldest model cost more than $3.000. This is how you will see he exaggerates. He has to try and direct as much people to use truck mount equipment as possible to get his over priced truck paid for, so he make these desperate videos. With truck mount you have to use gas equipment and costly maintenance for the truck and guess who he’s gonna pass the cost down to? you the consumer. When using portable you save on the cost and are able to pass this savings to your customer with a much neater approach, no bulky hoses running through costumers home with front door open ruining atmosphere with a gas truck running in front of your home for hours with bugs flying in and out of your home, I try to avoid this approach as much as possible, not to mention if you have fiberboard ductwork those high pressure air whips and skipper balls will tear your fiberboard apart sending fibers through your air stream which you will be breathing unless it is encapsulated after and encapsulations can be costly.Now he ask which would you take for free, truck mount or a Rotobrush Beast? i currently have both and they both render the same results in the end. If you needed to get to the hospital fast would it make a difference if you drove a ford pickup truck or a dodge Ram? No it won’t, both will get you there as long as you have a safe driver driving, likewise, an air duct cleaning is as good as the effort the technician is putting into it.like I said in previous comment, take this guys word with a grain of salt, he’s a desperate man.here’s a helpful hint, a air duct cleaning job for a average size home takes at least 3 hrs and better and for larger homes even longer. You can also ask for before and after pic or video footage. I like to show my customers while I have the ductwork open. If a company is in and out in an hour then you might want to definitely see footage of work. Do they have scam companies? Yes. But to say Roto brush is a scam is a flat out lie and a desperate attempt. Also stay away from $99 dollar whole house specials these are all dead giveaways. Remember, a machine is not a scam , the contractor that’s not doing the work promised is the scam. Hope this help the confused consumer. FYI 20 plus years in air duct cleaning with truck mount and rotobrush as well as Nikro equipment.😎

So… what exactly do you do with a negative air if the trunkline is covered by finished ceiling or is in an attic..?
@johncoleman67682 жыл бұрын
As someone who works for a cleaning service that uses the RotoBrush beast. This is the funniest thing I've seen.lol Because it's all true!! It does work good. Better than the regular version. But a flaw is the cable to the brush comes loose alot. Also for floor vents you have to vacuum first with a long hose. And ceiling vents. Vacuum the boot. I have a love..hate.. relationship with it. Some jobs it does great. Other jobs the hose does get stuck or you can't get past a bend. Have to really pull and turn the brush different directions. Can be a nightmare. And it is a pain having to use two different breakers. We use to use an old machine with a hood. And would use a brush powered by a drill. And would attach a air compressor hose with a skipper ball pointed back to the big machine. It was actually the best way to clean ducts. But had to have three people per duct. One to hold the hood. One to run the drill. One to push the cable. I'm going to check out your channel now. Take care

This demonstration is leaning towards negativity on the rotobrush. First off let me say that duct cleaning can "sometimes" be a scam, but if people feel better about the thought of it being cleaned then whos someone to say no to the job. 99% of peoples air duct wont look like that and if they are, they should just get it all replaced. The rotobrush is a tricky machine, the spinning torque level needs to be adjusted on each and every machine. The spinning of the brush is crucial for movement inside the duct sort of like a screw and if its not spinning it would be hard to push the hose in. I have used both rotobrush and negative air machines and lean towards the rotobrush on single story homes with ceiling vents.

The problem with this flex is that this method does not work on newer homes with flex ducting 😢 They will cry, fight and throw fits trying to say more powerful is better but facts are flex ducting is plastic with wire holding the integrity together. That powerful unit would have pulled the wiring out of the duct, disconnected it from the joints and caused more damage than anything. Along with that much force causing havac on the plastic ducting most companies here use a rotary brush which is horrible. I hear multiple times a week of home owners who had to replace ducting after a cleaning. Issues. With many various reputable companies using this method. I inspect ducts and companies do as this guy did. They hook up and close off registers which leaves the ducting dirty. Large objects still lodged on the ducting. Unfortunately for these guys with the big flex on super powerful units. It’s becoming a thing of the past rapidly. It’s not rocket science. Air + agitation + collection unit. You can even use the air handler to assist on pushing pour if the supply and in through the return. You have to be more careful on plastic ducting. You can’t go in and Mike Tyson it or you’ll fuck the hurts up,
