I'm glad you covered this incident. It was Easter holiday in UK and my folks took my sister & I for a stay in a chalet in Norfolk. I doubt it was being covered live so we must have seen it on the evening news and, at age 14, was deeply shocked by the cowardice of WPC Fletcher's shooting! Bizarrely, this happened just 2 days after Tommy Cooper died during a live TV appearance that we were also watching! Rest in peace Yvonne Fletcher.
