@@jamesdaniel1376 The number 12 Apostles was likely to reflect symbolically the 12 tribes of Israel. Judas was replaced by Matthias, one of the many other followers of Christ. Paul was not one of the Twelve because he was personally sent by Jesus separately while he was on the road to Damascus to persecute Christians. He was known by an "uppity" Roman name "Saul" but Paul was more of a common Roman name.Acts 26:14

@mamajan99 The general consensus among scholars is that the choosing of Mattathias was not God's plan to fill Judas' position. Paul was that choice. Mattathias is never mentioned again in the New Testament and the text gives no indication that Jesus instructed them to replace him, nor is there an indication that the Holy Spirit led them to fill the position. Paul, on the other hand, was chosen and called by Jesus, and surpasses even Peter in his works and zeal for Jesus and his kingdom. Paul even seems to hint at this when he calls himself one born out of due time. Paul was Apostle number 12.

It is a terrible translation because it should read "offices" instead of "mansions". The "house" Jesus refers to is the Millennial temple Ezekiel prophesies about, and later on the New Jerusalem that comes from Heaven. As God says in Ezekiel, the sons of Zadok will serve Him in the northern chamber of those temples forever. This is a direct connection to Rev. 3 where Jesus tells the Philadelphians that they will be pillars in His Father's temple.

Yes, you are correct. The kingdom of GOD comes down from heaven. GOD will dwell among men. The Bible doesn’t say we are to inherit heaven ( Satan tried to take over- Satan is not our teacher). Believe what your Lord has said. The meek shall inherit the earth. He is not saying that the meek are banned from salvation. The new Jerusalem comes down from heaven to the earth. The exact dimensions of the city are given.

I think Jesus worked as a stonemason, the Gospels are full of stone related analogies. Jesus calls himself the cornerstone, He tells the Pharisees that the stone the masons have rejected his became the cornerstone. He talks about houses built on foundations of stone or sand. He tells the parable of the man who built a tower to protect his vineyard. He tell his disciples that only someone foolish would start building something without calculating costs first.

Koine Greek is actually not that different from Modern Greek. It was just a simplified version of Greek. Modern Greek has more words, but I promise that I understand ALL of the Koine Greek just because I am fluent in Modern Greek. Keep up the good work! One interesting thing about the Greek language is how much of it is used today... Psychology.... ψυχολογία (psee-he-logia). If you say it to a Greek, they know that you are saying "psyche" and "logia", which mean "soul" and "study." An interesting item of note is that Greeks say and understand "O.K." I have long argued that this originated in Greece, because O.K. means Olla Kalla... All Good, literally!

The 12 were disciples first: (learners, students) taught by Christ. They became Apostles when they were "sent off" to preach and empowered to perform miracles. "The term apostle is derived from Classical Greek ἀπόστολος (apóstolos), meaning "one who is sent off", from στέλλειν ("stellein"), "to send" + από (apó), "off, away from". The literal meaning in English is therefore an "emissary" (from the Latin mittere, "to send", and ex, "from, out, off".)

Not everybody who professes Christianity is a disciple. A disciple follows the example of their teacher and believes what they say. As it is, most professing Christians believe virtually nothing Jesus taught. That is easy to prove in the fact that despite Jesus telling His followers to do what He did, most professing Christians observe pagan festivals under a Christian pretext and reject the festivals Jesus observed.

@2:00 So you went to dictionaries only, without cultural context, and you find sons and daughters of Mary… If you looked to Polish-English dictionary, you would see the only meaning of “brat” is “brother”, and the only meaning of “siostra” is “sister”. Yet in the Eastern part of Poland until early 1980s you could hear use of those words *_also_* for first cousins, with proper adjectives added if differentiation was needed. Such use was declining then, and the words “kuzyn” (for male cousin), “kuzynka” (for female) gained popularity, but anyway it *_was_* used. Here is how it worked: If one was a son (a daughter) from the same father and mother, the term “brat rodzony” (“siostra rodzona”) could be used. If only one parent was the same, the term “brat przyrodni” (“siostra przyrodnia”) could be used. If one was a son (a daughter) of mother's or father's sister the term “brat cioteczny” ("siostra cioteczna") could be used. If one was a son (a daughter) of mother's brother the term “brat wujeczny” ("siostra wujeczna") could be used. If one was a son (a daughter) of father's brother the term “brat stryjeczny” ("siostra stryjeczna") could be used. But you couldn't find it in dictioneries, nor in newspapers or books. To sum up: looking into dictionary only, without taking the culture into account, lead you to wrong conclusions. And the reason why your conclusion is wrong was revealed during the crucifixion. There was strong cultural imperative in Isreal that children take care of their parents. So if Mary had any other children they would take care of her, but instead Jesus commanded John to do it. More! He pointed John to be her son.

The carpenter job title fit well with the narrative of the crucifixion and how it is almost this ironic foreboding of him dying on the tree, which was what he worked with. But the stonemason also fits nicely with the imagery of Jesus being the cornerstone. He is (the son of) God, so he could obviously do anything. He came to humbly BUILD His kingdom :) And now we're the wood and stones that get to carry on building with Him.

Anything written by Paul needs to be scratched out. As you can read in 1 Cor. & the other church letters, he wanted to control the churches he made by misusing his own understanding of scripture as a Romanized guard. To tell people in the church not to hang out with sinners when that's what Jesus did - 1) there'd be no one to hang out with & 2) everyone in his churches would be stoned to death if using Deut. 17 for his reasoning, while neglecting that it's about Idol worship. I have to believe Paul is the false teacher Jesus warned us about. If Jesus told Peter he'd start the churches, you'd think he'd have mentioned Paul too. Paul has gone against Jesus's teaching & misusing Hebrew text for his own gain. Like Psalm 82 says, all of us are angelic children of the Most High but we die because we're human. Use the part of us that's more like our Creator & read the Hebrew scriptures, Jewish Bible, the Stone edition of the Hebrew Tanach, anything other than just the church teachings & you'll see how Paul & respectfully, the Logos software went wrong. Jesus is NOT God & Paul was out of out of mind, still demanding his way over God's way. If we quote Paul over God, something is wrong.

@Tonibolognaaintnophony If you think that Paul is the false teacher Jesus warned us about well tell me why Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus and told him what his mission was going to be. Don't you think Jesus would have known firsthand and ahead of time what Paul's intention would have been? Are you telling me that Jesus did not know or understand what He was doing by choosing Paul as his disciple to preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to Gentiles? If you think so you are blaspheming His name and a liar. Remember the Bible says all liars will have their part in the lake of fire of brimstone and it only takes one lie to go to hell. You are wrong Jesus Christ did not warn us about Paul being a false teacher but He warned us about people like you who are not believers of a Triune God. If you are a believer of Oneness Modalism or a JW or whatever you call yourself then you are a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing that teaches a different gospel therefore you are cursed heading straight to the lake of fire buddy. Repent or you likewise will perish. Jesus was uncreated always was, is, and will be forever. He is the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end. John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word (JESUS), and the Word (JESUS) was with God, (FATHER) and the THE WORD (JESUS) WAS GOD. He (JESUS) was in the beginning with God (FATHER). All things were made through Him (JESUS), and without Him (JESUS) nothing was made that was made. In Him (JESUS) was life, and the life was the light (JESUS) of men. And the light (JESUS) shines in the darkness (SINNERS LIKE YOU), and the darkness (SINNERS LIKE YOU) did not comprehend it. Read Hebrews 1:1-14 and you will see that God the Father calls Jesus His Son God. That would completely debunk your belief.

Good on you, women have NEVER been forbidden the word. There were female religious leaders, like Deborah, Miriam, Priscilla, Huldah, and Junia. In the New Testament, Paul sent letters that would appear to suggest that women remain silent and not teach, but this is taken out of context. All of those letters addressed certain issues that were taking place in those regions. You have to examine the audience that it was meant for. While we all can learn from Paul's teachings, but remember that he was trying to correct problems in the fledging followers of the Way.

Isn’t the “mansion” a direct reference to a joint family household in which a bride would move into the house of the groom? Zola Levitt has a book entitled “In My Father’s House” which spends a lot of time explaining all the Jewish wedding parallels Jesus used to explain his relationship to His Bride the Church. The meaning is the same. Jesus chose us. He agreed on a wedding price. Then He went home to build a room onto the Father’s house for his new bride. He will return to sweep his bride away. There is a marriage supper and then we will be brought into His family to live with Him forever. It isn’t about a big reward. It is much more personal than that. He has told us we are moving in because we are now family.

Mark 3:20Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat. 21When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind.” 22And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons He drives out demons.”… Jesus' father died before he was an adult so would you call your half brother all of the time or treat that person with the honor of just brother? Aren't all His sisters with us as well?" Similarly, Mark 6:3 records, "Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? Aren't His sisters here with us?" (found also in Matthew 2 witnesses, eye witnesses)These passages indicate that Jesus had at least four brothers and an unspecified number of sisters. Beware calling this information "not Biblical" since Matthew and Mark were eyewitnesses in the New Testament which, if you are even discussing Jesus you need to either accept as the Word of God who created all things and gave the prophecies and the inspiration of the New Testament, by inspiration through the Holy Spirit or reject the whole of the Bible whose many predictions (prophecies) by numerous prophets are fulfilled in its pages. In John 7:3-5 , it is noted that "His brothers said to Him, 'Leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples may see the works You are doing. For no one who wants to be known publicly acts in secret. Since You are doing these things, show Yourself to the world.' For even His own brothers did not believe in Him." This passage highlights a period of skepticism among Jesus' brothers regarding His messianic mission. The Book of Acts and the Epistles provide further insight into the role of Jesus' brothers in the early Church. Acts 1:14 states, "They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." This indicates their presence and participation in the early Christian community following Jesus' resurrection. Additionally, Galatians 1:19 mentions James, "the Lord's brother," as a significant leader in the Jerusalem church. I do not know of Any passage in which Jesus calls random people His brothers. Notice the context of the following in Hebrews: 11For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. 12He says: “I will proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing Your praises in the assembly.” 13And again: “I will put My trust in Him.” And once again: “Here am I, and the children God has given Me. Jesus often referred to the crowds (inclusive of the disciples) little children. Are you going to make that into a doctrine that he Had children physically? Some have. It would be foolish not to take it as presented.

Here is a cool point about Jesus having siblings: the Gospel of Luke is a detail oriented gospel. In Luke 2:7 it says that Mary brought forth her first born son. A couple chapters later in Luke 7:11-16 is the story of the Widow of Nain. There is a funeral, in the text it says that her only son was dead. Jesus raised him to life. Luke uses the words “only son” in Luke 7. If Jesus was an only child as some suppose, Luke would have stated that Jesus was an only child in Luke 2. Which he did not.

Here is another good point. When Jesus was in the cross, he told John to take her in. Where were her biological children? Any brothers of Jesus were stepchildren by Joseph's former wife who passed away by the time he met Mary or possibly from his brother. Joseph was over 30 years old by the time he met Mary at around 13 years old. She was the age of those other children. The youngest was older than Jesus Christ. She would have been alone if Jesus hadn't asked John to take her in.

8:59 There is every evidence from Scripture that, before He began His ministry, Jesus was employed as a carpenter. His earthly father, Joseph, was also a carpenter, which means that Jesus was likely His father’s apprentice. It is bizarre to think that God Incarnate was taught to build things by a human man, but it seems that in this, as in all other aspects of His earthly life, Jesus submitted Himself to the humility of being fully human (Philippians 2:6-8). People called Jesus a carpenter (Mark 6:3), and He was known as a carpenter’s son (Matthew 13:55). There is some evidence that the Greek word used for “carpenter” (tekton) could also be translated more broadly as “artisan,” “contractor,” or “handyman.” It is possible, therefore, that Jesus and Joseph were the sort of men you call when something needs to be fixed-be it made of wood, stone, or something else. It is also possible that they acted as civil engineers, even designing bridges or other structures that were needed by the people of the town.

Tecton is also the root of architect. Where archos is the origin, tecton is tactile, the executioner. Which relating to Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3 makes perfect sense. "Bereshit bara Elohim" and "En arche en ho logos". God created and shaped the universe (bara and yatza). YHWH spoke and the Word was, Yeshua is the Logos and worked it out.

The twelve men chosen from the larger group of disciples were called Apostles. Jesus gave them keys of specific authority that would allow them to do Jesus' work in His name and make it binding as if they were Jesus. The seventy other disciples were also part of a group ordained to a quorum of Seventy given authority to act in a particular capacity as leaders over areas in a missionary capacity. These quorums exist in the restored church of Jesus Christ. A disciple can and is also simply a follower or student. The Trinity is also not in the Bible. When Jesus states that He and the Father are one, he is also trying to teach that the disciples are to be one with Him, Jesus. While the son becomes fully like the Father after his resurrection, Jesus is subordinate to the Father. Jesus states often that He is doing the Father's will, not His will; that's clear subordination. The relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is completely unified but are separate beings. I've taken on Jesus' (Joshua - Hebrew translation) not just with my lips, but through my baptismal covenant. I remember and reestablish those covenants every sabbath by taking the holy emblems of His sacrifice and try every day to become more like Him. Faith is doing, not just hearing. Jesus did, so I will do. I will repent every day and get better every day and follow His example.

This is incorrect. Jesus clearly gave the keys to Peter and only Peter. _He_ was the designated as the lead apostle, and the fact that Christ gave him that surname proves it. "Peter" identified someone as the leader of a religion in the ancient world. I'm not saying he was a pope or was able to arbitrarily proclaim something as authoritative, because that was most certainly not the case. The pronouncements had to be based on God's law.

Please can someone help. A few days ago I came across a strange teaching. It says that we were created in Gods image, that our spirit was created to be exactly like God. So that when we die what survives is our spirit and our spirit looks exactly like God. This means we wil each look exactly like Jesus, we will all look the same and therefore we won't recognize our loved ones.

Where are they getting this information? In the beginning God created male/female in His image. That's in Genesis. God is a spirit. So then the question is what is your thought on God. Is the understanding that God and Jesus are separate. If so I can't help you. Pray for understanding and revelation.

It is forgetting one very important thing: the fall of man. Caused by the original lie, causing original sin. "You will not surely die. Know ye not you will become as gods, knowing good and evil?" This is the same lie. You don't need salvation. You don't need Yeshua crucified and resurrected. You are god. When God created man he gave him life by breathing into his nose. Genesis 2:7 KJV - "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." But that is not what we are born with anymore. Yeshua said in John 3 to the rabbi Nicodemus you must be born again. John 3:5 KJV - "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born out of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." The soul as you are born is dead in spirit, it cannot see the kingdom of heaven as it is a dead soul. The spiritual connection to God is lost. God told Adam: Genesis 2:17 KJV - "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Eve added to this: "... Neither shall you touch it" because she did not know the one commandment God gave Adam. And so she was open to deception and sinned. See, nothing happens when you touch it, the serpent is right. So, women...just read the bible and start at the beginning! In Genesis. And read carefully, don't make up your own version.

Some thoughts: Jesus having siblings is significant because it contradicts this aspect of the worship of Mary as deity. So is the fact that women were welcomed as disciples-important to dispel the oft-repeated notion that Christianity devalues women. And that Jesus claimed to be and is GOD-amen! 👍 As for “carpenter” and “mansions,” not significant. Why attack the scriptures so many of us grew up on and that were so instrumental in spreading the Gospel for hundreds of years? To feel intellectually superior? (In John 14, the Lord IS talking about heaven, a PLACE. I always took the “Father’s house” to be His household, or all of heaven. “I go to prepare a PLACE for you…I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there will you be also.” Lastly, If words are so important, and they ARE, why is “one and only Son” deemed an acceptable replacement for “only begotten”? I consider this a major dilution of an all-important concept: begotten emphasizes His BLOOD-the only blood that could ever atone for sin. To me, it’s a literal shame that it is removed from John 3:16. Too often “mercy” is changed to “loving kindness” as well. I think that dilutes the concept that we are sinners in need of a Savior. 💕 🙏

True. I know that the Roman Catholic church, through the Jesuit Order, is putting a lot of effort into infiltrating translation organisations to dilute the gospel and make it fit with Catholic doctrine. To blunt the sword that is the word of God. Everything to elevate the role of 'Mary', diminish the name Yeshua and the importance of His blood. Alter the 10 commandments to exclude idols. Use words to contradict and confuse instead of clarify and precise. Also to sever Yeshua and the gospel from their Jewish roots. Replace Israël and its worship of YHWH with the Roman religion. The RCC is deeply anti-semetic.

I don't think it matters what he did for a living except for the where he came from that his family was from. He obviously had multiple siblings. Catholics believe differently for some and even higher folks in the church don't believe he's even God and he's the only way to heaven. Lots of leading Catholics believe there is many ways to believe in God and Jesus is just one. Sadly even when they say it for being acceptable by the other religions and they won't be attacked more than they are for Life is precious. But anything new written brings different meaning and intentions from the original versions of Scripture. Some even are removed from the Bible all together. Sadly we live in a far less believing world than we used to.

I agree with everything you have to say except for the fact that Jesus and Jehovah are the same people. I've read and studied the same thing you have the and the conclusion that I came up with is that truly Jesus is the Son of God and fully authorized to do all the things that he has done and in a much greater way than the apostles and the messenger sent before him. Because he walked his walk perfect on Earth and did not make any of the mistakes that the former messages did, he had the full authority to do all things and speak all truths from the father himself. Remember the scripture that says that any respect to the end times only the Father Knows not even the son and that's enough for me.😊 please consider what I'm saying when I say this, that when you walk and act with a full authority of someone senior to you but it's just as if that person is there themselves remember when John the Baptist brought him up from the water also remember what happened on the mountain when Jesus was fully blessed with that Authority in the presence of Moses and Elijah. There is no universe or world with a devil can even begin to tempt the one and true Jehovah God but he did try to challenge Jesus in his authority and at the successful completion of that challenge he was strengthened and refresh by the father's angels. No I don't believe that Yeshua Christ Jesus and Yahweh are the same persons but I certainly do believe there is no stronger Authority given to any man in the Bible because the whole Old Testament points to him.🙏🏿 Thoughts?😊

That does mean they were not “blood” relatives but likely loved each other as if they were. 1 Timothy tells us the Church is the Pilar and the authority. This claim that adelphe doesn’t have the same broad spectrum of meaning as adelphos is unfounded. We read in the Gospel of John 19:25 that, “standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother’s sister (Greek: adelphe), Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.” Did Mary have a sister named Mary? It’s highly unlikely that sisters would have the same name. Here adelphe refers to a close female kin. The early Church historian Eusebius cites that the early church father Hegesippus (2nd century) said that Clopas was the brother of Joseph, making Clopas’ wife Mary the sister-in-law (close kin) of the Virgin Mary. It is this Mary, the wife of Clopas, who was the mother of James the “brother” (really cousin) of Jesus (see Matthew 27:56, Mark 15:40, and John 19:25 together). So, no, Jesus being Mary’s only child is not a false teaching, sir.

#3 comes from a confusion between disciple and apostle, hence why people believe that women can be paastors and apostles

I sincerely thank you, Brandon, for these clarifications. Sadly, it sometimes discourages me from reading the word. We have been so mislead by faulty and biased translations, where does it end? Check out John 6:4 where it says that the Passover of the Jews was near. Not only is this not possible because an entire year would have passed since the ladt Passover with nothing recorded, but Yeshua would surely have been in or traveling to Jerusalem for the feast, not hanging around in the Galilee by the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). I'm going to have to check out Logos as you recommended. 😊

This is a matter of faulty reading on your part, not the translations. You have to learn how to cross-reference the gospels to understand when are these events happening John's gospel highlights the critical moments of Jesus' Ministry and skips a lot of details. To pinpoint WHEN Jesus said that, we cross-reference Luke, where John 6:4 happened as Jesus is travelling back to Jerusalem before he rides the colt.

@skybattler2624 If Passover was near, Yeshua and His disciples would have been preparing to go to Jerusalem. It takes about three days to walk there from Caperneum. Instead, according to John 6, He fed the 5000 and then, that evening, He walked on the water while crossing to the other side. The next day He returned to Capernaum (v 22) and proceeded to teach about the resurrection at the Feast of Trumpets three times, saying He would raise them up at the last day in the following verses to the end of the chapter. So He was there another two days doing these things. Why wasn't He going up to Jerusalem? Then in chapter 7:2, He talks about going up to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles. Thus, it is reasonable that the holy days at that specific time were not Passover or Pentecost, but Trumpets. It is required to go up to Jerusalem three times a year at Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles, which Yeshua did.

@@niritzagofsky7473 Go to Luke, and you would see that after the feeding of the 5000, there is a LOT of events that happened before he goes to Passover. You need to read the other gospels instead of jumping into this ridiculous conclusion. In Luke, the feeding of 4000 happened (a different event before the feeding of 5000), and many more happened before He goes back to Jerusalem

@ I didn't hear Brandon say she sinned by waiting until after Jeshua was born to consummate the marriage - which is what he was reading. Do you consider sex - which God created - within marriage to be sin? If so, can you cite me scripture. I do question, your thinking that Mary was sinless when Paul said she wasn't when he wrote "that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." in Romans 3:23.

I enjoyed this video very much. I just wanted to inform you that when you say "Yeshua", don't put the accent on the first syllable. Jews say Yeshu'a with the accent on the second syllable. Also Meshi'ach, the accent is on the second syllable.😊❤

In short, The name Jesus used in the English New Testament comes from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a rendition of the Hebrew Yeshua (ישוע), related to the name Joshua.

Keep in mind that back then, in that region, people often had two names: a Hebraic name and a Greek name. This is much like how someone today might be called Tina and have an online moniker of SweetPeanut.
