@Keildra you don't need a canner I just use any old pot with jar rings on the bottom as long as you can cover the jars with at least 1" of water. Blessings!
@TheSprCch11 жыл бұрын
I love that you made both jellied and whole berry at the same time!...you're right, someone people like one or the other...thanks for the great video!...I found if I skim the white stuff off first, it doesn't get into the sauce or jelly... :)
@pjd27094 жыл бұрын
No Never Tilt your jars to get the water off the lids, keep it as straight as possible when lifting out of the canner, as risk messing up the seals, the content will get into the rim area and not seal, you maybe luck for so long, but it may catch up to you, and you don't want messed up jars or product.

Sure frozen will work I do that every year for summer remake since all of it is usually gone by then. My bags were 3 lbs sure wish I could find 5 lb bags. Make sure you measure the first bag and write it down so you'll know how much you need for next time. 4 1/2 cups for one batch. Blessings!

@kmkdenali You sure can I do it all the time. You should always do more lids than you think you'll use. Nothing is worse then trying to finish up and finding out your one lid short. Blessings!

@GrandmaNinaNTheHills I agree I learn something from everyone.I was gonna powder some sweet potatoes this year instead of sliced. Want me some pie ;-) Blessings!

Yes you should removed the bubbles. Honestly I forgot ;) But they were fine. You use pectin in alot of canning fruits to make them thick. Cranberries have alot of natural pectin in them so they jel up naturally. As soon as my crop of tomatoe comes in I will be doing paste. Get your small 1/2 pint jars ready :) Blessings!
