Your video has given me more information into the world of pressure canning than the NUMEROUS ones I viewed previously. Thank You! I am completely new to the world of canning. I used my new pressure canner for the first time today. I canned baked beans. Per the Presto booklet it said to can the beans for 40 minutes. Well, I soaked over-night. and then I cooked them for over an hour while I made the sauce. Now I'm concerned that I didn't cook them long enough... They look good. they all sealed. Did I screw this up??

Hi Bexar, great to see you doing videos again. I remember an old video you did on canning chicken 3 different ways. You were planning to open the jars in 5 years. How did they turn out? You said that you would be really mad if you lost it all.🙂

Thanks, you too! They were soft textured as I knew they would be so they were closer to chicken pate lol. Blessings

Hi Bexar! I knew you hadn’t forgotten, you never let anything go to waste. Love pickles and easy to make good dill pickles. Wash your cucumbers well and trim off the blossom end. Pack in pint or quart jars whichever you prefer. I put 2 cloves of garlic in a quart jar, but you can use more if you like them garlicky. I use 2 dill heads or you can use dill seed. If you use seeds it’s about 1/2 teaspoon equals a dill head, but you can add a tad more if you like them real dilly and that per quart jar. If using a pint just half everything. Add 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon salt none iodine salt. Add 1/2 cup vinegar to a quart jar Put distilled water to 1/2 headspace Debubble jars Put in waterbath canner till it comes to a boil and turn heat off Let sit 5 minutes Take out of canner and let rest for 24 hours Let them sit on pantry shelves for 2 weeks before opening to eat. Nice and crispy pickles That’s a long comment, sorry. Your Ricotta looks great and I’m ready for lasagna, lol. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed evening! ❤️
