Bex that is a grand job, great bit of problem solving and modifying your own kit, particularly the use of the awl. Before sewing machines folk had to have a cause and plenty of patience. Thanks for sharing and all the best mate.

Hello Bex and I think that is a very creative solution, to a problem which exists, which shouldn't and the Army dont have any comfortable bergens and I will copy this idea. Thanks for sharing

£2 for a ton of strappage and clips is bargain enough, add zips , that back padding section and fabric for repairs and he may as well have paid you to take it lol, proper win Marra. 👍 I'd have gone a different route on the mod, clips all around and straps from the side ladders to lash to the pack, leaving it removable for use as a seat/kneel pad in camp, love the mod though 🤘

@@bexbugoutsurvivor Got a couple of ny mods done today, proper free lid and added straps down the zip covers to strap a third rocket in the middle over the messing pouch, they continue up and also act as lid straps, will do a full vid once finished all mods 👍

cleverly done .... hadnt thought about finding a donor pack to use, when i did one previously i used a foam sitting mat covered in fabric,

There is another solution coming up, that utilizes the pad, and modded strapping....For best results use a Berghaus, and keep the S90 as a nostalgic wall hanger....lol

I use a hippo belt modded on instead. (Slim hips, and enlarged gut)....lol

Hi if u buy yourself a unpicking tool from a sewing shop u can unpick the whole bag and use everything and not loess any fabrics
