What Beyblade X Gets Wrong

Think about it, for years there have been logged tournaments, and a dedicated fanbase, but this alone hasn't made Beyblade popular enough to be considered a sport in most people's eyes.. and I mean people who don't already Beyblade. Takara Tomy has evolved the game play by adding rules, rankings and a special gimmick in their stadium rather than the spin top this time, which they're now calling gear sports. I cant help but feel that they only really intended on making "Gear Sports" a thing in japan, from the region locked exclusives to the lack of really any change to there tournament system, seems more like a type of nepotism for Japanese bladers as opposed to a worldwide sport at this point. I get its based in japan but cmon its a global market this is a little behind the times.

@St0nk5 I completely agree, from the use of special beystadiums that can track the bey, and even the training centre. A big crux might also be Hasbro's perspective on marketing. They seem to focus more on young kids to cement a relationship, but have done little to maintain that throughout. Prime example being transformers, quality has steadily decreased over the years. But yeah, TT does seem to listen to their fanbase alot more than Hasbro.. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment ✌️

Although not as much as football or basketball, I think Beyblade is also a sport. If the original Beyblades were not so expensive, I'm sure it would be a more popular sport, and the fact that it is a sport would be accepted by everyone. People don't want to pay so much for a small top. We collectors pay, but not everyone. Even though Beyblade is a sport, it will never be as popular as other sports.

Honestly, in my experience, one of the biggest reasons it’s so expensive is because it has to be imported from Japan.

TT should definitely take some notes of Jake Jones Stadiums. Bigger stadiums would warrant more strategy and planning. Of course, making such a big stadium would be far more costly, and storing them would be inconveniencing.

Poker is considered a sport and it's LITERALLY gambling. There's a massive skill factor when it comes to bluffing and calling. Beyblade isn't gambling at all, and still requires skill. If poker can be considered a sport, Beyblade can too, by a long shot.
