I bought this headset for competitive gaming and I'm not dissapointed. Having used only budget wireless gaming head sets I was actually blown away, not just by the difference in sound quality, but also the fact that I could hear and pinpoint footsteps super accurately. I've been told that this is also largely thanks to the open design. Being wired it also saves me roughly 30ms in response time, so for any serious gamer it's highly recommended. It's built like a tank yet light and comfortable and easily serviced, so I can see these last a decade at the least.

Awesome review! It seems to be a very balanced performer with a lot of features and props to Beyerdynamic for the detachable cable and headband.

Don’t know why isn’t anyone comparing these to 900 pro x for gaming

Just tried out this Beyerdynamics mmx330 pro, and the 300 pro closed version, Sennheiser Hd 490 pro, Maxwell Audeze and Hifiman Ananda Nano. I was looking at Headset for gaming. Now, I can say the maxwell is pretty nice, but returned it because of it seems to be unreliable. All of the rest is ok and looks good all in all, but in my case the ananda feels insane with music AND gaming. FiiO k5 pro or something similar would be necessary, but your mind will be blown awayyy

@@Tap80 nice that you tried so many to find your preference! The Nano is very good, I agree. The only thing is it can be too bright for people sensitive to that. Thank you for sharing!

Hifiman makes the best headphones in general imho. - That said, not sure why you’re going for headphones without a mic, that’s the whole point of “gaming headphones” no?

What is better for shooter MMX330 Pro or MMX300 Pro?
@Skeeb2326 күн бұрын
I wish I had heard the MMX300 Pro as well, but I haven't yet. The MMX330 Pro will do very well for shooters. It's not overly done in the low end so that it drowns out footsteps and finite details you'll need to pinpoint things out.
@PittPistol26 күн бұрын
@@Skeeb23 Thank you! I tend to get the MMX330 Pro because I dislike not hearing myself talking while communication through voice chat with my teammates and that seems to be the case with the MMX300 Pro.

well, it wouldn't be a headset now would it... just get another beyerdyanmics offering and buy a desk-mic, or if you really want it hooked onto the headphones then hook on a mod-mic

I got a new PC and my headset seems to be really quiet now compared to on my old PC. Maybe it was something to do with the motherboard/soundcard. Is this pretty common when plugging a headset straight into a PC without a DAC? I've never owned a DAC before, unless it was included in the headphone to USB adaptor that came with an old headset.
@Skeeb23Ай бұрын
Hey, think I can definitely help here on a couple of things. First, anytime you can plug a headphone into a 3.5 jack, that means you have a DAC. A DAC is built in to the simplest USB devices, for instance, so you're good there. There are different levels of the quality of the DAC of course. Your motherboards soundcard could just be a very basic realtek that isn't doing you many favors with the MMX330 Pro. Also, look into your sound settings. It's possible you have some options turned on that you may not have before. Windows sound enhancements, and things like that, can create more issues than they are worth. Really just comes down to experimenting. My guess is you will get plenty of volume out of the headphone with your PC, just have something switched on (or off) that is causing the issue.
@SomeGuyFromUtahАй бұрын
@@Skeeb23 Ok, thanks! It's a brand new PC with a higher end MB - Rog Strix Dark Hero, I think, so I'd think it'd be have some bells and whistles like decent audio amplification. I had to send it back for service, and while they have it, I'll ask them to take a look at any settings that might be negatively impacting mic volume (makes me skeptical that they truly fixed the i9 processors because it was behaving similar to that issue)
@Skeeb23Ай бұрын
@SomeGuyFromUtah you're right, the onboard soundcard should be plenty for that headphone. I do have a suggestion...down the road if you're serious about better audio, an external Dac may be the way to go. It's what started my journey down the rabbit hole of audio.
