Beyonce is so freaking gorgeous. It's insane! I was so looking forward to Ryan's comments...and he didn't disappoint. LoL Here is how I took the video to be: The guy she is marrying, is the better guy that she ended up with. If the past guy didn't blow it with her, then she would have never found someone who actually cared about her. So, in hindsight, she is thankful for the pain he caused, because that pain led her to something better. That is why he is _the best thing she never had_ .

The song is about her first love. When she was in high school and first getting noticed in Destiny’s Child her boyfriend at the time was cheating on her. Apparently he couldn’t deal with her fame. But if you look in the credits of the first couple of Destiny’s Child album she thanks him on those albums. That’s why the throw back parts of this video are dated that way. Yes, that was actually her at the prom lol. Just in a wig, she enjoyed filming that part because she never had a ‘real prom’ due to touring and performing. The synopsis of the video is that there was a guy who messed up with her and now she’s grateful for the man that she is marrying in current time (in the video)

I’m sorry but with all due respect, I think you guys are reacting to some of her worst songs. Most of these songs lack substance. I think you need to look into her more in terms of vocal ability and her amazing production( which she is heavily involved with) Yes, her visuals are nice and there’s obvious sex appeal but that’s not all there’s is to Beyoncé. I highly recommend: Daughter, Plastic off the sofa, and Daddy lessons. These are some of the best songs I’ve heard from her thus far.
