This album was about shedding the idea of “perfection” because that’s how people viewed her and embracing her sexuality as a new mom. She also became a little bit more “in your face” with the concept of feminism. This album caused a huge shift for that movement and helped to make it a mainstream conversation! It’s also the reason why albums are now released on Fridays and not Tuesdays! The beginning of the Beyoncé we have today. All the albums before this one are a different vibe but still amazing.

Heaven - The woman playing the friend in the music video is Ashley Everette, she was Beyonce's dance captain up to a couple years ago. Her red hair at Beyonce's shoulder was so iconic fans could spot her in all kinds of projects. While Beyonce has had/alluded to miscarriage, I believe this song was more about a friend, I know she used the song in dedication to a friend who died of an illness, maybe cancer. I don't think you're overthinking the stories, but you might be looking a little too literally. Ever since Lemonade people have looked for specific instances in her life to connect the music to, sometimes she's telling a story. It doesn't always have to be her life, but you'll pick up on the story she's telling.

I’m surprised no one mentioned it in the comments but you skipped Grown Woman. Grown Woman wasn’t an official track on the album, but it does have a video and is part of the Self-Titled era (it was included in the videos when it dropped on iTunes.) The Grown Woman Video is so fun. It’s kinda Afro beat dance and a nice trip down memory lane. You should react to “Grown Woman” as a bookend to the Self Titled reactions.

You’re not overthinking. I love your rants! She has a lot of messages in her music and I’m happy you’re catching them. Yep, I think a lot of Beyhive think Heaven was about her miscarriage and losing that child 😢😢 it’s a beautiful song. 3. 94 -> 9/4 her birthday. 4. Love that you love XO. Slightly underrated song from her. Love that song and video ❤❤ 5. Love Superpower and how she collabs with people. She doesn’t just slap people on her songs. She matches their vibe. Those things really go in the world of pageantry. They even wear false teeth over their natural ones. The spray is a glue to keep the swimsuit from riding up. And, the Vaseline on the teeth is to make smiling easier. As for the beach, that is Coney Island beach in Brooklyn, New York. It's a fifteen minute drive from my house. 1) Anybody else peep the sash in Pretty Hurts.. Looks a lot like the cowboy Carter sash.. 2) Beyonce grew up in pageantry. 3) she perfected her growl I think at 12. She actually injured her voice box and was on vocal rest all summer. She said once she went to a theme park on rides and it was "hard not to scream" lol. 4) XO was filmed in Coney Island NY, ppl around her had no idea what she was doing/saying. Only that she was there and you can tell from their reactions it was genuine. 5) a good documentary that semi sums her up is Life Is But a Dream, highly recommend!! I think its still available here on youtube. Lots of bts, childhood clips etc. 6) she had a miscarriage before Blue but Heaven was not for her miscarriage. It was dedicated to her mothers friend that passed prior. Which is why the woman in the video is older, B's age, representing their friendship. 'Heartbeat' is about her miscarriage and was not officially released to the public however, you can hear snippets of it on her documentary film. 7) 2:11:58 you can see a baby blue on the bed lol
