​@Yagirlnyesha disagree , he sampled. Sampling is perfectly accepted in the music industry. TONS of songs are sampled and very rarely entirely original. Etta James song is undefeated but Tennessee whisky is a great song too

Not only is it nice to hear her doing some old school vocal, it's also nice to have some old school production along with it. I'm talking about a minimal amount of stacking and layering in the production. Of course it helps to have a full enough timbre of voice to get away without as much blatant studio augmentation. I realize it's not real old school production, but there are a lot of overused techniques that frankly get pretty stale to listen to.

Do yourself a favor and check out Beth Hart's version of this song. The version with Beth and Joe Bonamassa live in Amsterdam it's probably my favorite. Nothing against beyoncé, but not even close in my opinion.
