And on the flippity flip, complements can bring up self esteem and confidence but that can lead to arrogance and an over estimation of your abilities causing you to stop improving, etc. Both criticism and complements can be good. But it is best if you don't allow either of them to affect you emotionally. Instead just take it in strides, use it to keep learning, but try hard to not let it "move your emotional needle."
