Regarding zooming with the scrollwheel, in Overhead (TA) camera mode (Ctrl + F2) and Spring style camera mode (Ctrl + F3) holding Alt while spinning the scrollwheel down will zoom out as far as possible in just one scrollwheel notch. Holding Alt while spinning the scrollwheel up will undo the max zoom out and return to whatever the zoom level was before, this also happens in just one scrollwheel notch.

Thanks for sharing. I tried, but the problem here is that when you zoom back in, it doesn't at all go back to where you were or where your mouse is, but to the center of the map...

@@raghna Yes, that is an issue. Alt + scrollwheel down is still usable, though. TAB could also be useful, it changes the camera to full-map top-down view (this is not the minimap, it's a top-down view of the entire map) and hitting TAB again undoes it and also centers on the cursor. The issue there is that some of the UI elements can obscure parts of the map, particularly near the edges.

They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Depends on the map, the opponent, your strategy etc...
