Great one again! The only thing I wish it could handle is shuffling, because I don't know how to explain the cutting properly to the spectator and answer why they can't shuffle normally. Although I suppose people performed magic trick on usually are very happy to cooperate, I just happen to know multiple guys who want to bust the tricks rather than experience them.

A clever way of always keeping 26 cards between them, hence it works... I like it..Obviously many applications...

Actually 25 in between. But yes, no matter how many times the cards are cut, that statement is still true. And the flipping one of the half is what makes them align into the same position.

Sorry Coach, but this 93 yr old hobbyist don’t use SM, hence my rather lengthy message in the comments. Just a suggestion to make the trick a bit more mysterious: some of us can spot that when performer and spectator put their cards on top of two equal halves, they are always going to be 26 cards apart. My suggestion is that in shuffling and dividing the deck, you peek the top card of both halves (A & B). If spectator chooses A, (or vice versa) let him set his card on top and instruct him to cover his half with B and cut as much as he likes. Then take the deck and cut the top card of your half to the top; 27 cards away will be spectators card which you reveal anyway you please. What do you think?

Just done this trick and on the 2nd time they dealt 26 cards they dealt straight to the cards, I couldn't believe it, awesome trick

You stated that YOUR pile, you don't announce what card it is, but when the spectator begins dealing the cards you said, when you see EITHER card, right? That means that if they were to turn up YOUR card (the one not shown), then YOU will be the one to say "STOP", & you would THEN say, "Wouldn't it be "beyond belief" or whatever, if YOUR card was what I'm about to turn over?"

Yes, exactly. You could both also name your cards in advance if you'd prefer to do it that way too.
