How so? Dutchman's gold can be another used name. Not just pirates matey. I don't feel it is. But who knows.
@The_Dudester4 жыл бұрын
@@tinyGrim1 The book eas written by a pair of treasure hunters-but not like you would see in a movie-these guys do a lot of research and prep before they go to a location. So, they go to the Superstition mountain. Certain clues let them know they are being watched. So, when they arrive and get out of their vehicle they notice a vehicle approaching them. Two men get out of that vehicle and tell them that for their health they need to leave immediately. The book was based on the fact that two U.S. treasury buildings in the south were looted by the confederacy. The "gold" that the dutchman was selling matched the description of gold kept in those buildings. That the gold is still watched over in the 21st century is hair raising to say the least.

I BELIEVE FROM OAK ISLAND TO THE WEST OF THE GREAT LAKES WERE A LOT OF PRE 1000BC MINING
@about2mount3 жыл бұрын
They used Natives and slaves to mine. The most obvious reason for digging a pit as this would not have been for treasure. They were dug to mine saltpeter for making gun powder. In fact these saltpeter mines are found all over the eastern Canadian and American Coastline and Islands. Another dead giveaway to this is they used Coconut husk to make coal using a rock piled kiln and a stone box with a lid to prevent the coconut husk from catching fire when being burned into coal. Both the coconut and the kiln have been found on Oak Island also. Pirates were not afforded the luxury to sail into any Colonial, Spanish, British or French ports to purchase gun powder and risk capture and why they had to make their own.

It's more likely that this is a misnomer. It sounds like Jacob Waltz is the one who went missing and that they originally referred to him as "das deutsch" (the german), which later became, "the dutchman". "Mann" is male/man/husband in German, so fairly certain the Lost Dutchman Mine never existed.

Goldfield legend does not even mention the legend about the original Apache attack that sent the mules laden with gold sacks into the flats of what is now the town of Goldfield, where the sacks fell eventually "salting" the ground. No mention of the doctor that was give almost pure gold from the Apaches, which kind of plays into the legend it might be Aztec gold. I had 25 sticks available to use. I returned a week later ,and made off with 245 lbs of pure gold rocks and dust .
