Because he's always known past, present, and future, even if you can assume Protégé could copy his powers and supplant him, he'd know this was going to happen and Protégé would have never even been allowed to exist in the first place. I'm not super into comics as far as reading entire publications and what not. But I always loved reading the origins of characters and their life stories on Wikipedia. This is even better. I've watched other people try to do these same things but their crap. exactly. i don't remember if beyonder was retconned in this story but also does not matter. he did had absurd level of power but what made him an interesting character was his struggle to justify his existance, thus giving his powers to various ppl, trying to feel pain, having sex with hookers etc. now protege....well, this is what lazy writing looks like. since he had to see a power to copy it, easy, backstab, he is dead, done. this is not just lazy writing, it's stupid. too bad he could have been an interesting character...

@@wallie8539 the beyonder had no weaknesses, at least pre-retcon, but he was never boring. what mattered was the stories and they were good and made sense for the time. bad arcs and lazy writing is what kills a character and makes him super boring, no matter his powers or weaknesses, biggest example to me the sentry. SS for example was not the most powerfull guy, but his stories were very good.

For starters despite claiming to be omnipotent on different occasions, he had to exert himself to defeat the Molecule Man, he was once emotionally overloaded by the Rachel Summers Phoenix wielding a portion of his power, after which he collapsed on the ground, his power was also temporarily stolen by Doctor Doom, and he briefly transferred it to a machine, or gave half of it to the Dazzler. And he stated that he would have trouble bringing back Death.

Yeah keep the title for the series. It will be neat in the way seeing how you would classify characters from other universe as omega/beyond omega using the logic produce by marvel for classifying omega/beyond omega. It will be interesting to see if you would classify someone as superman omega level - which you could add extra couple of minutes to your videos explaining why you would classify *[insert character]* as omega/beyond omega. Seeing how you explain stuffs in comics with your understanding is the reason I enjoy your videos.

Hey Rob, I think that the One Above All could be him. Because he rules over the entire multiverse, there are multiple Living Tribunals, but the One Above All is omnipresence he exists everywhere in every time in every universe, I think he could just will Protege out of existence or make him blind without him even releasing it. One Above All is god in the marvel universes, that or Jack Kirby, or Stan Lee.

The first time I was introduced to Protege was during the original Guardians of the Galaxy story arcs. He was an interesting character for sure, and I especially liked interactions between him and Replica. I may be imagining it, but I think marvel may have intended for him to be emotionally attached and reliant on Replica for genuine friendship as a means of possibly keeping him from overtly destructive. I too at one point had wondered how he would fare against the One Above All.

Coudln't MoD just trick Protege with his reality warping, just as he did with Doom and then kill him by just phasing him out of existence, or turning him into a blackhole?

the patriot MoD is theoretically much more powerful,but...... Protege could theoretically copy his powers. But i think that If MoD would erase him without Protege seeing him,it could kill him. Thats my theory

protege basically retains the power of the one's he has copied . so he already have beyonder and living tribunal power along with hundreds of other powers . so m.o.d cant erase him nor speed blitz infact he can do nothing but go back to the hole he crawled from and still gets his ass roflstomped .
