The back pad is supposed to have the ridge side towards your body. The ridges create space between the pad and your back and help keep you cool.

Thanks! I was definitely impressed with the fit. I'm short but have broad shoulders so its a challenge to get things to fit how I like them. They have a really big range of sizes on the size chart that I think would fit a variety of body types.

Oh haha, thats mainly the angle and I'm also wearing a fullface MTB helmet not a Moto so it sits a little higher on the jaw.
