I had the misfortune of having the Transmountain expansion project in my neighborhood for 4 long miserable years. If these people are what makes this country run it explains why we are here. To be blunt we are screwed. 😢

That entire project was controlled by the federal government and was painfully slow.

@BrettGell of the 9 trenchless crossings done around where I live the Canadian Energy Regulator was aware of only one that was approved was being worked on and only after I informed them. I can't believe it's typical to take 12 months to do a trenchless crossing of 50 ft under a country road. The original environmental protection plan called for trenching and again the CER was in the dark apparently about the change or activities despise this being one of the conditions of their permit of construction. I can say that after spending 12 months watching grown men sit in their pickups for the entire day on their phones or talking to each other the odds of much being accomplished are fairly high. I watched these men who were 100 ft from my house for months doing essentially nothing and the CER was not aware as they have NO documentation from Transmountain regarding this work. Who is kidding whom in all this?

@ that pipeline would have been built at a fraction of the cost at a fraction of the amount of time. Now we know without a shadow of a doubt what happens when liberals run the show!

@BrettGell it could have and should have but wasn't. So why wasn't it? The CER didn't know what was happening so the government oversight was absent. Maybe you could talk to Kiewit or Macro? They were the prime contractors. Perhaps they can enlighten us all on the logic of why it took a year to go under a country road and a year to go under a creek. I can give you their emails and phone numbers if you like and it would be fabulous if you or someone else might begin asking more questions and not swallow whole whatever they spew out. Oh, if they say the flood it slowed them for under 2 months so don't buy that line. No crazies as Shiela says and Trudeau never showed his face nor did any other politician except for the regional director. It was a bit of a free for all to be honest. 🤷

@BrettGell and if you require a motivation to do this perhaps it will be that when those workers are retired and enjoying their lives it will be you who will be paying for that. Might want to mull that thought over.😒
