As a former US. Navy guy, I visited the Virgin islands three times and then pulled into Barbados Island. Nothing unusual at the time. I bought a book on unexplained disappearences of The Bermuda Triangle . Our Aircraft Carrier USS John F. Kennedy Cv-67 pulled out of Barbados Island after three or four days shore leave. Guard helicopter was down. I bet my last dollar that alot of aircrews and shipboard sailors and marines were definitely watching to see what would happen later. Thank God that nothing did! There is alot in the world that is still unexplained even by the experts. Tsunamis, rogue waves, black holes in space to name a few. Apparently; The Devil's Sea off Japan is an official danger zone by the Japanese Government. Admiral Bull Halsey encountered a freak Typhoon and lost men and planes during World War Two. He cited that he was not properly briefed on that area for weather conditions prior to that happening. The article of a pilot flying through a cloud and it was rapidly starting to close at the end was really something to watch. He made it back to Miami much faster than time and fuel allowance would have worked out. It propelled him and his plane like a slingshot. Very much a scare. How many people get that happening. One plane went out and a strong wind tire off a wing with several people aboard!

Thanks for uploading. :) Watched this movie over 40 years ago when I was a child and tried to find it again since but to no avail, I had it mixed up with the other '70s TV movie, "Satan's Triangle". I've always been fascinated with the Bermuda Triangle but watching it now as an adult, I find it strange that two people supposedly disappeared in the area but their vessels did not. I don't believe there is any factual accounts where that was the case.

In this film sorta in the middle, they're talking about, the Bermuda Triangle. And a small boat was found tied to a bouy, with no one around. I was owned by a minister, they said. Actually, that is sorta true, but they failed to tell, the rest of the story. The 20', or so boat was named 'WITCHCRAFT', and a priest DID own it, and it was found abandoned, tied to a bouy, a mile offshore. He and a friend, went out fishing and was, never seen again. Just, the boat. That happened back in 1967. Watch a documentary titled "THE DEVIL'S TRIANGLE", hosted by Vincent Price in 1974, and he mentions it.

I think I saw this once, years ago. I probably taped it, too. Never seen Fred McMurray, in a spooky role, such as this. It's possible, it's his ONLY credit for this genré. Strange detail, I noticed. In the end credits @1:12:24, on the upper left hand corner, you see a guy's named, Clarence Thomas. This last list of actors, would have the shortest roles, since it's last, in the credits. Thinking back during the middle of the picture, remember that black, Coast Guard man (who was alone) who asked him, if he needed help? His role part, was extremely short (5-10 seconds). I thought, he looked familiar!! Is it possible, Clarence Thomas did some acting, in the past 🤔?? I didn't care for, the sad ending though 😔!!! Poor Fred.

looks like he found his door and steped through it. the interesting thing about it the Woman on Maryweather from her point of view the Sun never seemed to move it stayed in the same place no matter which direction she steared the boat. that along with the mysterious lights. in her case I'd guess she fell from the boat and she wasn't able to swim and catch up to it. most likely she drowned. doesn't matter how good a swimmer you are sooner or later you will get tired. even if you forget the Sharks.

Harold Cole---The plane pilot couldn't make out where he was...he said he was lost, which means he probably couldn't see the sun or find anything to give him any bearings. These are the types of reports associated with the Bermuda Triangle...well trained pilots and sailors basically recognize nothing as they often describe in their final transmissions.

At 17:44 discussion was made about the freighter "Marine Sulphur Queen" and how it disappeared without a trace. Not entirely true. Wreckage including a life preserver and a board with part of the ship's name had washed up on shore. @@musicman201047 imho the people accidentally entered some type of portal to some place far away or perhaps they're still very close but in another dimension OR someone or something with type 2 or 3 technology takes them. Probably through the "portal" for lack of a known term to use. I know that the earth is no longer flat, nor is it the center of the universe and that man was given the intelligence to learn how to create wings to fly with. Given enough time we'll learn the truth of the many things that remain shrouded in mystery. Personally, December 23rd 2019 will mark the 35th anniversary of the moment that I traveled forward in time ( about 15 hours) for a brief glimpse of the future. I was at highway speed in my white '65 Malibu and literally inches away from the rear bumper of a white truck adorned with flashing yellow lights. I don't tailgate and I was instantly positive that I was about to rear-end the truck at high speed. I slammed back into real time absolutely freaking out. Told myself to watch for danger ahead and not get close to the rear of any other vehicle EVER. I saw it and was doing my best to change what was coming. Even planned to sell that car as soon as our trip was over but I didn't get the chance because IT happened the next afternoon. My water pump went to pieces and the fan destroyed the radiator. Pulled to the side of the road to assess the situation. Before I could start walking back to the last gas station we'd passed, a tow truck pulled to the side of the road. Said he'd just gotten off work and was headed about 5 miles to his home in Mt Sterling KY and offered to tow our car to his home and help me fix it. Had no room for us in his cab so he hooked us up and we remained in the car. In no time we were up to highway speed and inches off of the rear bumper of the white truck with flashing yellow lights. My 6 months pregnant wife and I freaked out all over again. IT was a rescue, not an accident. Bought a new water pump but no new radiator was available. We ended up taking the radiator out of a junked Monte Carlo on blocks in the field behind his house. Took about 2 hours to make the repairs and I asked the guy how much I owed him. He said $50 Merry Christmas. As we drove away from his house my wife asked me what he charged. I said $50 and she said hell no. Give him more. So I made the block and returned to his house...BUT IT WASN'T THERE ANY MORE!!! The junk Monte Carlo was still there, hood up and still sans the radiator that was now wired in place under my hood. We freaked out again and to this day we still wonder wtf happened. Drove the last 100 miles to our destination and a week later drove the 1,100 miles back home. My wife still refers to him as our guardian angel. He may still be around. A few years ago we hydro-planed on the interstate and spun exactly 3 1/2 times in the speed lane of oncoming traffic and traffic was heavy. As we spun, the headlights of all the oncoming cars seemed to stretch somehow and as soon as we stopped spinning, facing backwards in a waterlogged median of grass between northbound and southbound traffic...all the headlights rushed back to normal. We probably should have died and taken many others with us but we didn't touch another vehicle. It took a tow truck to pull us out. Flashing yellow lights and I truly expected to see our guardian angel driving it but it wasn't him. I guess he was tired from holding back the traffic while we had spun. Every syllable is true. I KNOW FOR A FACT that a lot of weird shit happens and I sure look forward to the time that we understand how and why it happens. I hope I didn't bore you with my tale but I sure do feel better having shared it again. Have a nice day.

They scientifically solved the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle and other places on the ocean that have similar reputations. There is an area off Japan roughly the same size and area, and another in the China or Yellow sea, and a 3rd place also in the ocean. Research proved with new deep diving technology that the ocean floor in these areas is littered with boats/planes from all era's of history--(ships as far back as the 1800's--planes to the 1940's)--coinciding with historical reports of losses. Also down there are very large craters, empty pockets of what was methane gas! Still more locked up in large pockets in the same areas. These pockets of methane are not located anywhere else except where ships/boats/planes have been disappearing. Tests were run, and computers now have the capacity to calculate how large a bubble of methane gas would be released into the ocean and rise to hit the surface. Also equipment was used to see how much would rise into the atmosphere. Testing scale model boats/ships, and large shipping container type ships, even types of ships listed as having disappeared, were tested. It was shown that if a large bubble of gas hit these boats in the right place it is enough to roll them over and capsize them every time. They also discovered that the same amount of gas released into the atmosphere causes the engines on planes to stall, as the engines do not recognize the gas as oxygen. It interferes with the engines ability to run. The strangest phenomena of all observed was how methane was not registered in the cockpits, of test planes, however, in both planes and boats/ships, the methane caused problems with ANYTHING MAGNETIC! Compasses spun around around in crazy circles on older planes and boats. New models, the GPS did not work. Even the gauges for fuel and other gauges, the needles spun helplessly. Flight instructors listened to recordings and discovered that pilots who radioed back to Miami were so lost, that in a panic even they could not tell the difference between the Island and Keys doting the Floridian Coastline. Without compass settings, most of these pilots most likely flew in circles until they just ran out of fuel. It was not UFO's or another dimension at all-but simply and act of mother nature. I believe that now that we know this, these areas should be plotted and avoided. Every day, the Bahamian Government reports at least two fishing vessels missing per day, or tourist vessels that go missing. But it is NOT reported beyond their local news because it would eventually affect their overall tourism to their Island. I believe that this says a lot. I got this information from a Nova or National Geographic program I watched recently on YOU TUBE, I was amazed at what I learned. I always knew that there had to be a answer, and some day our science and technology would finally catch up. Be safe out there.

Yes, it is an old school "cotton candy empty calories" TV movie, but I really liked it. The Bermuda Triangle and ESP were big in the seventies. Of course, when statisticians demonstrated there was no anomalous trend for disappearing in the "triangle" it took away some of the fun. And, the buzz back then ignored the fact that hundreds of ships and planes do daily work there without any problems. Still it's great movie fodder to help consume a bowl of popcorn.

The latest and best explanation is based on the ocean floor releasing huge pockets of methane gas. If the gas bubble comes up under a ship. the ship loses all buoyancy and will sink. Also, being lighter than the air, the methane bubble will enter and rise through the atmosphere. If a plane flies through the methane bubble, it will lose lift, since there isn't enough air pressure to keep in airborne.
