This festival looks awesome ! I will maybe try to assist to the 2025 edition and it will be a nice opportunity to discover Norway. I didn't remember if you mention it but how much cost the beers ? (Yes this is very important to know this precious information...)

Yeah, nice one. I think an avg beer was something like 119-139 kronor, depending what kind of beer you have, which is about 10-11 eur at the moment.

Thanks for the review, I've been thinking about skipping Inferno next year to try BTG. I think I'll be returning to Oslo and Inferno again next year and exploring a different part of Norway with my second week like I've done for the past three years. Bergen is an amazing city, the wife and I still have three mountains left to hike! Cheers Rauta!

I have a feeling that Emperor might be the "artist in residence" or at least headlining BTG 2025 since they are not playing Wacken. Thoughts?

Quite possible, even likely so, since Inferno & BTG "recycle" the bands quite a bit.

Great recap! The Mayhem 40 was a bit weird to me, i thought the idea was to celebrate all the eras of the band but no Blasphemer and Maniac but a dead Dead vocals? That felt awkward. Trelldom was more a jazz concert than anything so was also surprising. Satyricon 1 & 2 was great but nothing special I understand why some people were upset. But overall I was delightfully positively surprised by this year edition and the Bathory tribute was awesome 🤘🤘🤘

Yeah, honestly I was expecting something special (in a good way) from this Mayhem thing, but nah, just a festival gig with some nice(?) visuals. Let's just say I've seen better ;Mayhem ones. Trelldom wasn't at all what I was expecting.

Skipped the mayhem, but 40 years Oslo show was amazing this year. Much better than I expected. Satyricon is just a disappointment . The first day the sound was horrible. Just drums and stupid sounding bass. The second night was much better in terms of sound, but not the songs. And I general their stage presence is boring. Aura noir - just killer. This guys deserve grighallen. One of the best moments of the fest. Enslaved - another great concert and the only ok sound during the first day in the grighallen. Djevel - the club level. Horrible sound and nothing happened on the stage. When you are far away from the stage it’s just super boring. Tribute to Bathory is killer. Good sound. Great performance. I’m surprised that you are impressed by the sound in the grighallen. Really most of the time it was super loud with only drums. Only Enslaved, the second satyricon night and tribute to bathory was good. Aura noir in the club was with much better sound. But in general great fest, good atmosphere. Thank you for the video.
